2018. Gerard butler; he co-prodused it too.

Based on the novel, "Firing Point", it's a Navy drama with good story and no downtime.

I really enjoyed the watch so I highly-recommend it.

Hunter Killer is solid. We've been on a Butler binge lately. Law Abiding Citizen and all the, "...has Fallen" movies. Any movie where a terrorist on a Motorcycle says Fuck You and then you run him into a wall, severing his head and then say to the severed head, still in the Helmet, as you're about to toss it out the window..."Fuck me!? No, Fuck You" well...chef's Kiss right there. Shit, I even like Geostorm. Just glad it wasn't about Geo after Taco Night.

I've pretty much loved every GB movie I've ever seen.

Law Abiding Citizen is an absolute standout, I agree.

To this day when I watch it I see him as the hero and Jamie Fox and the Judge as the villains. They try and muddy the waters by having their cute, innocent looking blonde in the mix, but nope. She would have turned out just like Fox. Didn’t feel any switch up in feeling when she was killed.

That's one of the great things about the film IMHO.

Callous "killer" extracts your sympathy 'cause of what was done to his family and the gubment / law system did "nothing" about it.

It was an amazing statement on the hollowness of a system meant to protect and bring justice for the innocent and the victims but cares mostly about expediency and therefore doesn’t actually achieve protection or Justice. In fact even re-wounding the victims again and endangering the innocent with their deal making and leniency. All the while patting themselves on the back for how great they think they are at it.
I think it’s one of the greatest movies ever made on raising questions about what is real justice and what really is the role and ability of a Justice dept. if you have too many people to handle, with too little time …. and people in the mix, who are doing what it takes to climb a ladder, who’s steps, stand in the wake of the people they’ve either made suffer unnecessarily in Prison, or the brushing aside of people’s grief as they make a deal to satisfy their ego or not have to work it too hard.

I absolutely love it.

One of the highlights for me was when his steak wasn't delivered on-time.
