Have everything i need in life.
Financially secure. Lovely still very hot and trim wife after 25 yrs. Sooo hot

im 90% healthy
One 14yo daughter
4 cats

2 classic cars.

College degree.

A dozen guitars and 7 amps

and i live in the greatest country in the world with the greatest president that ever served

I served my country honorable. I never welched off the system

What else can be better.

Sounds nice.

Zero financial security. 3 guitars, 3 amps, 25 year marriage and a paid for house I built myself. No complaints but a vacation with the old lady to visit my parents and a few extra bucks for gear would be nice one of these days. So would a running truck, an mc, and maybe buying a four wheeler for gathering firewood and rocks. Getting there. :yes:

Similar position to me. Retired at 47. More money than I know how to spend - it's actually a good problem. Degree, post grad professional qualifications. Let that lapse - don't need it now. Fantastic wife. Expensive motorcycles. New turbo car... Could have a Ferrari or whatever if I really wanted - but don't need the hassle. Part of the reason for that is I'm financially literate and I'm also sensible. However it gets to the point that you realise you shouldn't become the richest person in the graveyard.

Honestly God and your relationship with Jesus is more important than all that - have to make the point all of those material things are actually totally meaningless. Even people's memories of you won't last past a few generations - that's meaningless too. You won't be around to know what people think when you're dead and it doesn't even matter when you're alive. We could be dead tomorrow and I thank God for all that he has done for me.

Fix your relationships with God up now while you can. It's the only thing that matters.

The US isn't unique. Median wealth in Australia is higher. Average wealth in the US is skewed by the uber rich billionaires. There is a distiction to be made regarding "median" and "average" - this can be quite different.

Richest person in the graveyard is an unwanted prize for sure. o_O

I also don't think family members should assume they are entitled to everything.....or anything just because. Far too many people today, especially young fools but also some old fools, seem to think they are somehow entitled to live a Kardashain life or some pale imitation of it, which proves they are "important" or "successful". But they don't want to earn it themselves. I've been getting more serious about researching worthy charities, but it's tough to find one that isn't compromised.

I could retire very early and very comfortably right now, but I'm still too young and in too good of a position to quit just yet, and without getting some real activities/structure setup to replace work, it could be a very negative thing to walk away simply because I can. I want to get serious about producing music projects in "retirement", for a few hand picked clients and also my own projects. So scheming of when and where to build my ultimate studio/bunker is a favorite past time. I absolutely intend to keep doing things that are productive and helpful when I retire. People who just fade away in a chair become old FAST.

As time goes by, I realize being healthy (mentally, physically and spiritually) is the most important asset of all. There are endless examples of people who appear to have everything, but really have nothing, in spite of material possessions or supposed status.

That said, I'm off the gym. (y) And can't wait to get into the studio later this afternoon. I've been procrastinating too long on a certain project, and have made up my mind it WILL be finished by this weekend.
