Yeah Boss dirt pedal is all I use at this point (SD-1).
86 SD1 and a newer OD1X stacked with my Marshall’s is a thing of sonic perfection.
To my ears anyway.

Yup. I bought a VFE Standout after all the rave reviews, and it was neat. But quickly just went back to using the SD-1.

Yeah, I wasn't as impressed with the Standout as I thought I'd be after reading so many glowing reviews. Still prefer Timmy, Green Rhino, and right now a Stomp Under Foot Cherry Bomb treble booster that is just fantastic.

I had a Boss pedal streak this year, where I got a DD2, Japan CE2, and a DS1 modded by Analogman. All killer pedals. They're on the boards of pros for a reason!

My girlfriend was over at the house and I was showing her my Keeley pedals and she said "My son keeps saying Mom, I need pedals. What the hell are pedals???". I was dying laughing but also telling her that she is entering a never ending tone quest journey.

I wish I still had my Keeley Modded SD-1 and DS-1. Back when I had them, I didn't have an appreciation of how they shape the tones. I need to see if anyone is selling one with the "Seeing Eye Mod"

I've been through most of the Friedman dirt pedals, Wampler, Plexitone, OCD, TS-9 and on and on. The one I use the most now is the old SD-1 in front of a 1959SLP or DSL50 (green channel only). If Friedman made a Dirty Shirley pedal that had just a little less gain with the internal trim pot on 0, I'd get it. But I just don't need as much as the others put out on minimum settings.
