I compared every Speaker in my Cab, here is the result.

I knew there's a difference, but it turned out to be pretty big.

Yes good example of how speakers can vary & impact sound; even if in such case some can be compensated by moving the mic even slightly, and the fact that some speakers are at the top and others at the bottom = closer to ground can also impact the recorded result.

How was the mic position determined to be identical? I suspect that's 99.9999725% of what we're hearing here if the speakers are same model/lot (based on detailed scientific calculation).

As close as humanly possible by eye with the help of a Flashlight. We ain't starting Rockets here.

Got a Question: Have you tried the Boss SD-1 Waza? I asked you about the Nexadyne 5 before, right? Reason is: I, let's call it "accidently", ordered 1 of each, it's supposed to arrive tomorrow, but i think i just let it go back...

i tried it myself after watching this video, mine didnt vary quite as much but there definitely was a difference. theres a couple other vids with similar results i cant find. i have a regular SD1, you should definitely have one to go with your marshall. im curious to hear how the nexadyne compares to the 57

I like upper left and lower left best. Upper right was too fizzy for me and lower right was too dark. Jmo.
I just did my cab up like this, but it's an angled 1960av and there's a radical difference between the upper and lower tiers. I much prefer the lower, as the upper is too fizzy and ill defined, and the tone sufferes. That was the same speaker moved. The straight cabs seem more uniformed. Oh, and you probably sounds more rectoish in a good way, aren't those mode 4 caabs recto-sized?

I remember this clip. I've seen it. Not sure yet if i take the parcel tomorrow though. I know i will not keep it. It's not the first time i had the SD1 anyway and after the clips i watched about the Nexadyne, again, after asking you this evening it's too scooped and has too much lows and highs. Remember this clip?

Yeah, i think 1 and 3 are my favorites too. I tend a little to 3 at the Moment. I've had alyways used the upper left. I guess i have to try the others in a Mix.
Lower speakers in an angled cab definitely have more omph than the upper ones. Yes, that's an MF400B with Celestion G12K-100s from 2003.

I’m curious how similar it would sound if you mic’d a speaker and recorded, took down the mic, then attempted to mic that same speaker in the same spot again.

That's actually a really good question.

My instinct is that it probably doesn't matter much... so that means when it's tested it will probably make a huge difference, lol.

I don't think so. That would be a scientific approach. But also a bit unpractical.
