Been my main amp since '06. Played hundreds of shows and its never failed me and regardless of where we're playing I'll always have at least one person ask about my amp. If we play where there's house sound the sound guy love it. Just a great sounding and underrated amp in the world of $3k plus amps out there. What more do you need?

I had a couple guys ask what it was. Got some compliments on the tone. The guys in the band dug it for sure.

The Quickrod is really that killer high gain Marshall tone you heard for years on records and wished you could get. Now it comes right out of your speaker cab. Stunning.

By the way, notes and chords just feedback beautifully and effortlessly with the Splawn. Grab a note and move around the stage and it sings into feedback at will. Awesome. :worship:
Also, I love how I can roll back the volume knob and how it cleans up. It's a very dynamic and touch sensitive amp for sure

Absolutely! I had my volume on my guitar at about 3/4 most of the night and just rolled it up to full for most leads.
It's definitely a set it and forget it amp.

I had four different dudes walk up to me and ask about my amp when I opened for Lynch Mob once in Santa Rosa. Intrigued guests. I never got any of that when I played my Single Rec out. The Nitro to me is kinda voiced like the JSX...the EL34 nitro. The KT88 is massive sounding. I am still wondering about my Splawn 4x12 though....

It is a great cab, but still has a lot of low end. Playing more lower tunings makes it crazy...I am wondering if I should try an angled cab instead....
When I played that Nitro, I was kinda hoping it was the KT88 version..really like the Deliverance with 88s. It was cool with 34s, but maybe I'd have liked it more if I had more time with it..

Roseville or Edina?
Oakdale/Woodbury...those guys know me too well lol...I'm always returning something every few months. But my Jubilee and Hamer Diablo are keepers..... Both good deals from GC.com.

If anyone is looking for a 3 preamp QR, i have one im looking to sell. Great shape, just don't play much anymore. Also have a road case for it. (not a cheap one either).

......and it sounded killer. Man that effects loop is great. The TC delay sounded pristine. I played most of the night straight in and only hit a boost for crazy leads. Mason OD808.
The amp was perfectly quiet and the solo boost is perfect. The band was loud and the leads popped right out.
That amp is LOUD! I had it on the 50 watt setting and I had the amp on about 4. Perfect.
Ran it through my Hermida ported 2x12 with Vintage 30's and it sounded massive. I was shocked at how big it sounded. Coming off using a Triple Rec I thought I might have a problem with a smaller sound. No worries here, that amp thumps.
I used one guitar all weekend, a Stratocaster with a Suhr Aldrich and a Dimarzio Injector at the neck. The Aldrich is tapped and I used that sound quite a bit as well. Perfect for strumming semi-dirty chords and slide.

Anyway, it's a great amp and is eq'd perfectly . I could hear every note I played. Cut right through the other guitar player, bass and drums. Couldn't be happier.

By the way, I sat in Gear 2 all night. Gain about 3/4 of the way up. Did not have the amps boost on. Perfect rock sound with a good guitar with a humbucker.

Sounds like you have a winner!!
I love the QR tones...sounds like you are having a ball. ENJOY

I love gigging my QR... my only complaint is it weights a F.T.

I didn't notice but I haven't gigged it more than the one time. It may be a little heavy but certainly worth it.

I really dug my 2006. Then I kept getting the newer, "better" versions as they were released and I don't think any of them were as good as my first one. I never tried the B+ model though.

Agree completely.

I played one of the newer ones (3 or 4 years ago), and didn't dig it nearly as much as the old ones.

I suppose there's an ass for every seat, because lots of people rave about the new models.
