I hate him. That f**ker makes me want to start taking vocal lessons, I have enough guitar and bass practice to catch up on as it is :gethim:

Jonny Toetags, you know what I'm talking about :D

The ex-manager of the Phillies and Yankees?

 :scared:

I think he's probably taking about this guy instead...

"Dallas Green (born September 29, 1980) is a Juno Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter and musician, known for his work as guitarist and singer for the post-hardcore band Alexisonfire and his folk side project, City and Colour."

EDIT: He was named after the one you mentioned though. Pretty funny. Go Wikipedia.

"Green confirmed, during an interview at the 2008 NXNE festival with DJ Dave Bookman of Toronto's CFNY-FM, that he was indeed named after the famous major league pitcher/manager of the same name. He stated that although he was born on Sep 29, 1980, he had gone without a name at first. His mother was considering naming him Graham-Todd Green, but his father had bet on Philadelphia Phillies during the 1980 World Series that October and, after the team won, his parents decided on the name Dallas."

Dallas is my hero! :inlove:

Seriously...the guy is too talented. He kicks ass solo (City & Color) and I think he is the main talent in Alexisonfire (both vocally and songwriting).

He was the main reason for me seeking out Morris Amps as well.

And a funny bit of info, he is a Mike Holmes (Holmes on Homes) fanatic :D

I immediately thought the same thing.

Didn't he have a nose that looked like a baked potato? Or am I thinking of Bob Lemon?

Dallas Green is probably one of my favorite artists, seen him every chance I get. I once even drove all the way to Montreal just to see him. Really nice guy too, doesn't let the fame get to his head.

i'm quite fond of city and colour...been into his stuff for quite awhile.

ahhhhhhhhh....Dallas :inlove:

With the Morris in the background ;)

Check out the latest album then work your way backwards.
They have gotten better every album.
The latest one as 1789 plays on my Ipod since it's May release :)

Dallas Green is a huge talent, and I agree with Alexisonfire getting better every album, it sort of sounds like their sound is more "together" everytime they write a new album. But, they always sound like Alexisonfire.
Dallas' new(est) album kicks my ass! I love it.

Yeah, they've definitely been improving with each release!

It's kind of funny, because I actually used to think they were pretty bad! My best friend's old roommate was a huge fan of the band before they started getting big, because he knew them all personally from his hometown. I remember him giving me a demo copy of ".44 caliber love letter" and thinking "this shit sucks, these guys aren't going anywhere"  I couldn't stand Pettit's screaming, but he's refined it a bit and Dallas is doing way more singing now so it's more bearable.

George's screaming has gotten much better for sure.
They evolved every album, which I like. Kinda the same way Thrice did as well.
I'm still a fan of the independent stuff...but I wouldn't suggest it to most people :D

Yeah, Dallas is an awesome singer. I think AOF's last two albums are quite good. "Rough Hands" is one of my favs for vocals.
