and the jb in that kramer is straight dogshit. just sayin. what would you guys recommend putting in there in place of the jb? it's the kramer 84 model. I installed a custom 5 and a virtual vintage in my jap jackson dk2. Sounds so much better than the Kramer. Of course anything was better than the duncan designed crap that was in the jackson.

Step back from the instrument , take a deep breath and try to get the overpowering Floyd rage under control . There is no other solution EXCEPT destroying the complete instrument which , depending on the amount of rage the individual is experiencing, is the appropriate thing to do .
I see you feel my pain brother.....

Wow, you got the Kramer 84 that's a sweet guitar . I was thinking about picking one up but $799.00 is pretty steep. If I got the chance to check one out first hand I would be able to tell if it was worth it to me but no such luck.

Surprised the JB didn't cut it for you ,

I do , I really do . It's just not right .

alder body and maple neck. just like the dk2 except the jackson has a rosewood board.

I love everything about the 84 , the entire layout is perfect to me including the longer hockey stick headstock than the baretta's have , the single volume control and the straight mounting of the pickup instead of the slanted like the Baretta's.

The finding the right pickup deal is a PITA but everybody goes through it and eventually you will find the one that really fits what you're looking for.

anything would be better than that fuckin jb. i am a jb hater....always have been. I had such awesome results with emg's and the 24v mod in my greco-I'm tempted to throw one in there...and I'm not a big emg fan either...lol. probably have brother scottosan do me one for it.

Yeah , scottosan would know what would work best .

i just got this esp KH2 with a floyd, its my first one. im not sure who i trust around here to even set it up

I've only got one Floyd equipped guitar, my EVH Wolfgang. I take it to a shop, even though I know how to do it. Guess that's why I mostly play stop tail guitars!

I have played with my Kramer adjusting everything. Of course I probably went backwards...lol...need to take a little bow out of the neck and....can't find my fuckin allen sets anywhere...I have a bostich tool kit with a couple small sets but nothing big enough. Floyd is level......action tweaked....tuned and intonated....didn't notice the bow till I had done everything else....oh well....

if my homie didn't live so far away I would just have him do it. Chris(SDMF38), is a freakin beast. I'm just impatient. It's not that complicated of a job...I'm just ADD as fuck.

If it’s too bowed just tighten it with a quarter turn. Let it sit overnight and see if that did it.
If you have to take the neck off like I do with my Charvels, then it gets more complicated. But, I’ve learned to do it without even taking the strings off. Not easy, but it can be done. Loosen the nut clamps first. Then, carefully loosen the neck plate screws; the tension is of course still there but if you’re careful and can hold the body between your knees, while holding the neck you should be able to get to the truss screw to turn it. Then re tighten the neck screws and re tune.

Leave the Floyd locks tight and capo the strings around the third fret TIGHTLY, pull the neck off, adjust the rod. Put it back on. Rinse repeat.

I have a small block I use to block the trem to change the set of strings. It helps

all done. Kramer needed tweaked but all done. action is nice and smooth. my Jackson just needed leveled a little. the trem was a little canted. g2g now and I actually kinda enjoyed it.
