I just installed two new 2024/25 production UK made Vintage 30's...

The Hellatone 30 was a UK 70th Anniversary in 16 ohm and the V30 was a standard Celestion in 8 ohm that I got for 99 bucks. The UK 70th was 119 bucks I believe about 6-7 years ago back in 2019

I mean all in all not a bad deal 95+ bucks for the current stuff they are selling with the regular 70th Anniversary, I imagine they are UK too as the Hellatone was and again the Chinese V30 ain't bad and again a great deal for 95+ bucks.

Also I mean can't go wrong with the Avatar stuff either I imagine. They have a Greenback version at 25 and 50 watts, a G12H30 version and a V30 version too. Also a higher powered 70 watt speaker with Muller Cone and the 25 watt version mentioned earlier uses Kraft Paper. That ain't bad for 87 bucks and as said Made in the USA if your looking for an alternative. I think they all cost 87 bucks, good stuff 👍

Yep. I really like the Avatar guys, good stuff and great value. I've got a couple of Hellatone 30s (G12H30 Anniversaries) in a Deluxe style combo and a 1x12 cab. I bought an Alnico blue and broken-in Greenback from them as well as another 1x12 cab a while back, and they were always great to work with, helpful information, great communication, and excellent value.

I'm sure the newer speakers--Eminence, etc.--are great. I just tend to gravitate towards the Celestion classics, for better or worse.

Yeah Im a Celestion guy too.

Eminence ain't bad and the speakers are great and always grew up on Eminence but once I tried other Celestions I couldn't go back.

Growing up my only interaction with Celestion was 70/80 speakers and using almost any Eminence is better than those. But when I tried a Greenback for the first time it just clicked. Especially when I tried a Vintage Modern Cab with G12C Jimi Hendrix Greenbacks. A 1960BV ain't bad either and yeah V30s are fantastic.

I could never get a sound that satisfies me more than when I play an amp through a Celestion, it's just a must for me.

Same with Seymour Duncans...... It just works and I know there is a bunch of fancy stuff out there but I'm kind of basic and Celestions just do it for me. It just works and has the sound in your head vibes 😎

Having said that's their new Avatar Speakers are made by Misco Speakers. They are well known for making solid speakers in general and not just for guitar.

Remember the time are also variants from Marshall, Mesa and Bad Cat *_*

Pretty cool vid directly comparing the Mesa UK V30 to a new current production UK V30..... Both sound different but both sound good 👍

Breaking in my Chinese V30 its great. Totally recommend either these or the UK V30s but can't go wrong with these for 95 bucks. Sounds fantastic and a little bit more mid hump than the UK versions but still great and better than good.

Just a solid sound and a great value here and all 16 ohms. I ordered an 8 ohm about 6-7 years back and just installed it in my AC15C1 and it sound glorious with an EQ at end of the chain in V and a FATRAT goosed by a couple ODs. It just handles that low end and gain like no other.

A real high octane, high gain, cutting and forward sound IMO and just great all around too.

They also have G12H30 70th Anniversary for 95 bucks too made in England, would suggest this mainly for hard rock and blues or a darker amp but would highly recommend either and they both sound fantastic having gotten a Hellatone 30 which is essentially the same thing just prebroken in some.

Put two V30s under a mic and they will sound different. Doesn’t matter if they were both made in the same place around the same time. But there are some general things that apply to Chinese vs UK. I’ve tried a lot of them throughout the years. The UKs overall all to my ears are smoother and have more mids. Chinese are more open and aggressive , I usually prefer the Chinese but it depends on the specific speaker. The Chinese have a nice grind to them especially the 8ohm ones. I don’t like 16ohm versions as much as they can be a bit harsh and overall aggressive, there is a noticeable difference between 8 and 16 ohm variants.

I bought a brand new 412 with V30s back in my younger days. Aftr fe months I tought it sucked and sold all 4 v30 speakers into an empty 1960 cab.

Then like 10 years later I learned about the chinese v30 and all the variants of mea and marhall etc. All made sense suddenly.

I love some Mesa V30, Didnt hate the marshall v30, got the eminence governor in a cab right now.

But I tend to stick around Eminence speakers, the american series which I find more neutral sounding usually

Totally recommend these new UK V30s or some of these Chinese V30s from Avatar Speakers. You can get the UK ones all day at full price and they are totally worth it but can't go wrong with a Chines one at 95 bucks and a nice discount, they sound great too IMO.

Plop them in an AC15 or a Marshall Studio amp for instant results. Just completely transforms the amps and yeah good stuff. You can even put them in a Princeton or anything, these things are great 👍

Man they sound similar but the bass response is definitely different..... Good stuff. I bet these would pair great *_*

Different for sure but the EVH GB sounds closer to a V30 than a standard Greenback :dunno:

Its funny yeah this Avatar Chinese V30 I put in the AC15 is from 2018 and I haven't used it till now..... I think they are still 95 bucks now too same as then.....

It actually broke in faster than the new UK V30s in the Bad Cat 212 cab I have and I've played the 212 more and cranked it too with the Lynx 50......

Probably all the time and ageing, anyways it sounds pretty damn good and if he still has some totally recommend as they are naturally aged even without plugging in and break in pretty fast after use 🤔

That and I do crank the shit out of it and there is that 😂

You don’t know jack shit about speakers boy.

I had a set of V30s i bought from Avatar. Thought they were the coveted 2022 speakers from the internet hype due to when I bought them. They sounded great. Eventually pulled them and sold them because I like trying a ton of speakers. Turns out they were from 2016 or 2017 can't remember.

Long story short it doesn't matter. Too many variables. Just find something you like and stick with it. Ignore the internet hype bullshit.

Inbred Queer Eye for the straight eye shit shoveler and hole digger..... Who plays bass talking about guitar, this is always fun 😂
🤣

It makes sense why you steal other people’s shit. Every time you come up with your own burns it makes less sense than a 3 year old Down syndrome baby babbling.

Yup, that's why I put in the Avatar Chinese V30 on my AC15C1 to compare with the Bad Cat Lynx 212 UK V30 cab I got. For 95 bucks a real bargain and I think if you call or email and order 4 or whatever not sure about discount but yeah. Things are fucking killer.

Same ones from that time and I figure he's still got the same ones as he has overstock. I got mine like 10 years ago and it sat in a speaker until last week that I used it. Shit broke in pretty fast and it's not a Hellatone, just a regular V30.

Its different than the UK version but it honestly doesn't sound bad and pretty fucking killer, a bit or highs and not as smooth but again not bad and pretty good IMO.
