Yeah. Johnny left for the same reason a lot of us take breaks or leave permanently. There are a few bad seeds that ruin the experience.

I forgot to say this yesterday but part of my "ill-informed" reasoning for my guess was that I suggested to him that he leave his account intact and simply take a break. That way he could resume at any time without losing all his posts.

He declined, so I assumed he was so-put-off by the shenanigans that that overrode his ability to imagine returning, which was very-sad for me to learn (assuming I was right), trying to put myself in his shoes.

Ah. He takes mild criticism well maybe. But he has me blocked because he has a pattern. One or two insults, he fires back or brushes off.

The third insult, he makes threats. I suspect it is due to his low intelligence and slow moving brain. When someone returns the threat or accepts his proposal to meet up, he starts posting sections of some internet bullying site for missouri law enforcement.

If you win in a trolling/insult battle with him...which is a low bar and therefore easy to do, he blocks you and moves on to easier prey.

He is a pathetic individual and I am mystified that there are actually people that value him on this site. I think there are 5 of you, and mostly two mods.

The~Kid is a different animal. He just spam repeatssl the same shit ad nauseum until you explain something 7 different ways so that he can finally understand basic ideas, then he comes around and spams the opposite viewpoint another 7 times.

They are both annoying in their own way, but The~kid, at least posts genuinely about 20% of the time. That is by far more than dan the dipshit

As a mod one experiences floods of the questions, "Why was so-and-so bant?" and, "Why did so-and-so leave?". I simply chose to state what I knew (next to nothing) in order to hopefully prevent said flood... and potential speculation threads.

I grant you 100% that had I been functioning properly, I'd have said nothing. I'll address this later.

This whole thing and being accused of being deceitful took away my appetite and kept me up all night. I knew I'd fallen short of the standard I set, if any, but was also taken-aback by said accusation. I'm not deceitful. Ever. I'm also not a politician, but rather, a super-creative (happy to say that) dude who means well but isn't super-smart, has an eye for detail but often misses the obvious (ask anyone who knows me or who's seen me laugh a week after hearing a joke) and gives 100% of himself, leaving nothing on-the-table.

I decided last night that I need to take a break. I've deteriorated throughout the course of the past week as a result of half a dozen factors beyond my control. I'm not surprised (but I am ashamed) of my lack of attention to detail and discipline yesterday but on the plus side I'm 100%-sure it was due to the state I'm in, exacerbated by having lost electrical power for 5 hours and therefore having to rush my duties here as a result.

I'm going to ask Dan to keep an extra eye on things whilst I tap out for a while. I can't guess how long I'll need but I s'pose when I stop forgetting names I've known for decades, receive some sleep and my concentrative powers return for the most part I'll be ready to take things on again. I'll update the home page at the end of the week as I always do but apart from that, I'm tippin' I won't be around much.

I don't want to overstep my bounds so I'll keep it semi-vague. A large part of why Johnny decided to leave has to do with what you and @Floyd Eye are discussing.

My conversation with Johnny lines up with Von's conversation with him. He was fed up with the racism and antisemitism and irritated that it was being allowed to happen (mainly OTC). He felt being associated with Rig-Talk would reflect badly on his own character; he didn't want to be pegged as a racist because he was a member of a forum that allowed racism. He said after the excuse @Monkey Man made earlier in this thread he was done. Ultimately it didn't sit right with him to remain a member of the forum.

He did say if things changed for the better he would consider coming back. He also said he didn't harbor any ill will towards @Monkey Man still likes him and always felt MM treated him well.

It's an unfortunate situation, but I do understand his reasons for leaving. Low key racism & antisemitism is starting to run rampant. Makes me think back to how that RGX-Custom guy got away with it by skirting the letter of the law, but we all knew what he was doing. It's also the topic that's partially being discussed in this thread. People notice things, so it's not like Johnny was way off base here.
