Damn, I'm sort of looking for a straight one like that, and it's only an hour and a half away from me...

Ha ha... Well I have a serious dilemma here... I actually LOVE the look of that beat up and stained Marshall cab and I'm betting those "Made in England" Greenbacks are bigtime broken in with a killer tone. But, the Mojave comes with G12H30s and I'm guessing Vic at Mojave thinks those work best with the head. I can get a brand new Avatar with G12H30s for less than that used beat up Marshall.

Again, I like he beat up part. You know I love that! :)
well i would certainly trust the opinion of the amp maker for sure!

He he... Stage right is going to hell with me and James. If it's not our dirty grubby clothes, it's the well worn equipment. You're trying to win a beauty pagent on your side. :)
hey my foot switcher gets dirty.

That does look pretty nice. Is that yours? Do you dig it? I read mostly positive reviews on TGP just now, but there are a few that say the Bogner's are noticeably nicer sounding. Yeah, I know. You can't get everyone to agree. I'm just curious what you think (if that's yours?)

i think it's just fine for sound. i still think the Bogner magic is the dampening material. the Bogner does have a lot nicer grill material, and then the Bogners are painted on the inside which surely couldn't affect the sound much? guessing the thicker nicer grill might cut out more highs?

in a lot of ways i like the older smaller Avatar, it's front loaded and has some dampening in it. positives on it are that it's a little lighter and easier to lug around, and front loaded makes it easy to play the speaker swapping game. negatives are front loaded for projection, and that it's a little narrower which worries me for getting knocked over.

but yea, the vintage Avatar is pretty decent. they do pretty good with tolex, just wish they used a little nicer cloth.

here's my Bogner

i got the cab with the logo allready ripped off, but he gave me the logo and it looks like it just on there with a glue that's allmost silicon like so it didn't really hurt taking it off.

get it, you will not be sorry
