I have an Egnater Armageddon 412 that I want new speakers for. It's currently loaded with Elite 100 (G12K-100) on the bottom and WGS Retro 30's on the top. This combo works fine, but it just isn't doing it for me anymore. The WGS speakers lose definition at anything more than medium volume and I'm not vibeing with the K100's top end anymore.

This cab is connected to my BV300 that I'm running some rack preamps though (mostly Synergy/MTS stuff).
The BV300 is 300 watts and runs at 4 ohms so I'll need to match that.
That means high power speakers, 75 watts min and 16 ohms so I can wire it up to 4 ohms total.
I'd also prefer to do a full quad rather than mixing spekaers.

I'm not interested in any WGS speakers. I've had the same experience with all I've tried. They lose definition at band volumes.
Celestion & Eminence are pretty limited in what fits the criteria. Except for the Redbacks none of those peak my interest. And I'm not sure I'd like a quad of redbacks.
Scumback has some interesting offerings, but I've never tried any and don't know much about them.
I've bonded well with Weber Gray Wolfs, but don't have a cab with a full quad of them. All my Grey Wolfs are mixed with something else. So I'm leaning towards doing a quad of them.

Help me pick out some new speakers.

I own a BV300 and I mostly mix a EVM12L Classic with a EVM15L. Also have the Black Label but just like the Classic better with the BV300. Haven't tried many other speakers than those except V30s.

I still haven't tried Scumbacks yet, even though I'm sitting on one right now I have no use for. I did like the Splawn Small Blocks, so a high power modern Greenback speaker does pique my interest. Maybe try Scumbacks?

I have two of those pv shitfields that are modeled after 75’s… you can have them kIMg…. Supposedly the only good ones they made….

Are you leaning more toward a "neutral" sound or more "british" sound?

You could go with a Redback/Creamback H combination for example or throw some Swamp Thangs in there too.
Actually, I'd personally load up two Jensen Nighthawks and two Redbacks or if you can wait a little bit, Lichtlaerm Audio will be releasing a 16 Ohm version of the LCFR-150 soon.

I cannot recommend Avatar speakers enough. The AV75s especially are something amazing.

I've looked into the EVM's before, but haven't really given them a close look. Over the last few days I've been checking out more clips. I like the way to my ear they have a wider frequency range ans still have some midrange grind dor guitar. That said I don't think this is the way I want to go on this cab, at least not as a full quad. Maybe blended with something.

I checked out your Nighthawk anf LCFR videos. Pretty cool sounding speakers. Like I mentioned with the EVM's above I don't think it's quite right on its own for what I'm thinking.

I just watched the Mojotone BV30V video you posted the other day. The blend between that and the V30 is more in line with what I have in mind. A single speaker with that tone that's higher wattage would be just about right.

I recently got a pair of Swamp Thangs that I am liking a lot. Kind of like the G12K100 without that upper mid/high fizz thing Celestions have.
