Ibanez guys - Older Prestige RG vs new Genesis Collection

I had a prestige RGT a few years ago, and the fret work on that guitar was incredible.

Thanks! Not bad for an almost 30 year old guitar that had five years of heavy playing and gigging because it was my ONLY guitar. It’s not as perfect as it looks, but it is still nice. A summer worth of mowing lawns and working at the zoo, plus graduation cash, I’m still happy. When I saw Wayne’s World, that was exactly me and this guitar. I went in for MONTHS, every weekend, praying it was still there. The morning after my graduation party, I hit the bank, cashed my checks, closed my account, bought guitar.

Good luck on that MZ Orange Prestige. I dug that Guitar ever since I first saw it. One of the only “modern” Ibanez’ that really interested me.

Keep your eye out, good deals on golden era Ibanez’ come up every now and then. I bought this near mint unplayed ‘88 Jem DY for $1600 8 months ago on eBay and this mint ‘89 RG550 for $225 off of Craigslist about 2 years ago.
