I had one before. Didn't like it, but I don't really like any Ibeenhad guitars.

Mark, you should try RGT3120 or RGT3020 because those have HUGE sound with mahogany body, neck-thru construction, maple top, rosewood fb and an Ultra neck profile (2mm thicker than wizard). :)

GO WINGS!

I don't like Ibeenhad guitars. The Ultra Neck profile is pretty nice, but nothing special to me.

EDIT: And fuck the Wings. They're lamer than Ibanez. :D

How did the Pens do last night, Mark?? I missed the game and result. :hys: :hys: :hys:

Yup...I dig the reverse headstock, hum/single, edge, and maple board. I've always kept an eye out for a decent emerald green RG565. If it's reissued, I hope that color is in the product line.

cool beans!!! glad to hear that they're going to re-release them.i have a '91 RG565,in EMERALD GREEN(beautiful color, btw.so it the candy-apple red version),that i purchased "brand-new" in early 1992.it's been my "main" axe,all these years.i've bought & sold many other great guitars, over the years, but still keep coming back to this Ibanez.mine's in excellent shape.i had a local tech "sand off" the laquer on the maple neck & put some light "carnuba" wax on it and, now, she "smokes" for speed & agility(overal playability).the whole guitar, from head to toe,is totally clean & mint, with just one tiny paint "chip",on the lower back edge of the body, right next to the lower strap button.after going thru just about every duncan & dimarzio bridge pup,i ended up sticking with a 10k custom-wound duncan called a "brobucker".basically an overwound duncan '59 pickup, with a different wire gauge, which ends up,tonally, sounding like a perfect "combination" of the best attributes between the stock '59,custom 5,and screamin' demon pickups.this was a "special order" pickup, that the guys on the duncan "forum" were requesting, over & over,so they obliged! you can, either, send in your existing duncan pickup & have it re-wound to the "brobucker" specs OR you can just purchase one "outright"...it's got just the right amount of "clear" low-end thump, good growly mids yet "cuts in the mix",and sweet rounded "singing" highs.this pickup has NO mud, awesome articulation & harmonics,it's tight & punchy, and, basically has NO faults, imo.equally great for rhythm & lead work.my close second place "bridge" humbucker, though,is a dimarzio breed-"neck" model...very,very similar to the duncan "brobucker",wound at about 10k,also.both,the "brobucker" and "breed" are modern, yet very vintagey,in tone......otherwise,back to the "main" topic...love my RG565!!!

The Ibanez forum has put up some teaser pics and one is a maple board with white binding and another with an original edge so the 770 seems to be true. The admin also said there may be other models but I have heard nothing of the 565

Brilliant, Mark, just brilliant and soooo clever. But you said Pens would be unbeatable. :aww:
BTW, my name isn't spelled ´Jaako´.

How's it going with the IM strat?

Well, if I see Bill Reim from Hoshino, I'll ask him about it.

All they are is a pick of an Edge and a Maple neck showing just two frets showing the neck is maple and bound  The bound neck tells me 770 but I have not seen anything about 565s

I never said the Pens were unbeatable. I thought they would beat Detroit, but I knew it was gonna be an incredibly tough series.

Dammit, no reissue of the RG565. :gethim: Ibanez website has all the info up of the RG770 reissue but nothing about RG565 so it won't be reissued now.

the 770s are so sweet. throw a black pickguard on it and you have a 750

unless ibanez is asking for the farm for one, i see a red one in my future

i'd love to see them reissue some shocking pink or lochness green jems

LNG Jem re-issue will come some day and be the hottest guitar on the market, I would not be surprised if that guitar was $2500 street.
