Dopeeee thanks for giving me the run down! I’m always curious about all the elements. Nerdy MF “

Speaking of nerds after you post your video enable “stats for nerds” in your YouTube settings & see if it’s giving you an accurate LUF reading from your original mix. I just found out that existed when I was listening to your mixes back to back.

Felt like one was slightly louder. Googled some shit, & apparently they thought of that for us

Confirmed I wasn’t completely crazy haha, but it might also show you what the compression algorithm is doing to your material.

We were joking in another thread about the sound changing day to day with the same rig

not just placebo.. environment can definitely make audio do some bipolar shit lol.
Oh man..

Ok here’s my take.. the Ibanez is definitely brighter which I love on the open chords just lets that “grind” through, it also lets through more pick attack… Kind of gives you that Mesa-ish scratchy sound. That’s a subjective thing- some love it others hate it. I’m right in the middle lol I think it has its place.

The Maxon is voiced different, & doesn’t really shine on the open chords but we’re it does shine is starting at the 32 second mark when you start hitting the individual notes/tremolos. It’s letting the attack of those notes through more, & giving that riff a “bounce” especially with the kick. Also feel like the Maxon gets out of the way of the kick attack a lil more too. Can’t decide either. Maybe do as
@errrrrl said & mix em both lol
