An all white with black binding Ibanez Flying V but with a thin "S" series like body. White Dimarzio Evo's in the bridge and neck. Tremolo system. Reverse headstock. 24 fret ebony neck. Volume knob only.

number 2 seems to have missed the photo shoot.

I'd either go Gibson LP or
a BC Rich Mockingbird that Hangs like a Les Paul. With Tune-o-matic bridge and 24 5/8 scale

Ibanez made me a cool RG to my specs back in 1988.

Based on an RG550....

Direct mount pickups, Ebony bound board with no inlays, reverse bound headstock, Jem styled heel cutaway, Jem styled jack location, slanted HS-3 at neck. Single volume. Most important feature was my name inlayed at the 12th fret in a pearl block like they did on the Allan holdsworth/George Benson models etc.

I would probably have different specs today all these years later, but I still use the guitar a lot.

BTW, does anyone know how to save images from Kisekae build sites? Never figured that out. I have a ton of custom teles I made awhile back.

Framus Panthera Studio Pro with a midnight blue translucent finish...

Mmmmm.

I need a guitar that can nail the Politician tone and nothing else...

I'd get one in each colour for some variety, based off this stock model.
Of course they'd have all the usual appointments like a 17" radius, 43mm nut spacing, bareknuckle aftermaths, dunlop flushmount straploks and a dimarzio 4-pole switch with outer coils in the middle position. I would make sure that it's cheap enough for all the young guys coming through the ranks to afford and I'd have a custom shop line with a few exotic woods, i think purpleheart would look great!

a for real '58 LP.

not an updated stream-lined version either.

I would wait for the call from Ibanez. My sig would be quite similar to the K-7's with minimal variances:
RG body style 7 string Mahogany or Alder
Ibanez Edge Lo-Pro Bridge
single volume (offset-similar to the RGD)
3 way switch
Silverburst finish
K-7/Apex 7 string neck profile (5pc Maple/Bubinga)
Matching reverse headstock
Blank fretboard (no inlays) w/glow in the dark side dots
Cosmo hardware
Dimarzio D Activator Bridge
Dimarzio Blaze Neck
UV style input jack

I waited for Fender to contact me, and got impatient. So I made my own. hahaha.

Mahogany Tele Deluxe, hard tail, Seymour Duncan Custom and 59 humbuckers.
Quartersawn maple/rosewood neck. 1 11/16", 10-16" radius. Standard Thin profile, which is KINDA like a 60's gibson neck.

I love all my guitars, but this Warmoth is just so versatile, and so comfortable.

...what would it be?

imagine you get a call from, whatever, fender, gibson, suhr, etc etc..doesn't matter

what would it be like?

It would be what I'd want in a custom-made electric guitar.

I am not final on the ideas, but part of them would be:

-Single coil neck and middle pickups
-Two mini Humbucker bridge pickups with coil split
-5 way selector switch + kill switch toggle
-volume and tone controls for each pickup
-phase switches
-stereo output that is selectable by a toggle (e.g. neck pickup to left channel, middle pickup to right channel)
-In-built booster
-A tone that has a combination of Glassy Fender Twang and Chunky Gibson Growl
-12 strings
-Tremolo arm
-Extra jumbo frets
-27" scale
-made of solid, high quality, local woods
-strap locks

I am not sure of the other details like binding, neck thickness etc. Still deciding.

pretty much this but with a new wirring harness from rs guitarworks
It's a 88 custom showcase edition gibson sg got it used back in the mid 90's love this guitar basically it's a 61 reissue just the hardwear has been changed and the active emg pickups have been switched to iommi sig pickups sounds great for what play it's my baby .

I think mine would be a Les Paul with star-shaped stickers on the back of the neck........

an old ESP MX-250 explorer with EMG's, tone pros bridge, Bone nut, 24 Jumbo frets, Mahogany body, and Locking tuners. It also has to be black...
This, except it would be snow white. Offer a Flame Maple top w/ see-thru finishes too. Not sure on the pickups...I'm going through a weird transitional phase with guitar gear right now.

I know I'm a little late to the party but I figured I would throw my two cents in :)

A semi hollow version of the PRS 513
(hang in there cause the controls are going to be all sorts of screwed up)

-No tone instead it would function as a blend for all 3/5 pickups

-Tone would also be a killswitch

-Volume would function as normal except it would double as a blower switch (like GG's custom Suhr)

-Old school birds

-Floyd Double Locking with piezo bridge and preamp for acoustic

-Flame maple top (Violin amber burst) with mahogany body and neck with ebony fretboard

-Sig instead of bird on headstock (matching)

-either Brushed chrome or flat black hardware

I know its a little over the top but I can dream can't I?

Pretty close to my musikraft guitar:
Birdseye maple neck - just oil finished ala EBMM - 0.84 - 0.97 with an assymetric carve and medium frets
Alder body - strat style - just dyed and tru-oil finished
Option - 510 2 post bridge or flush mount floyd
Dual humbucker - Aldrich/SSV or Duncan Custom/Jazz (haven't tried the Jazz in this type of guitar, but I think it could work)
or Hum/Single with an Aldrich, but I'd have to audition pups for the neck...

Switching -
Blower switch that bypasses 5-way altogether and takes tone knob out of the circuit
5 positions -
1 - Neck Hum
2 - Neck Outside Coil split (with extra resistor for 250K load)
3 - Inside coils parallel
4 - Inside coils series
5 - Outside coils parallel (or both hums parallel, I haven't decided)
