Would you blame Fender for moving manufacturing from CA to Arizona?

One thing that often gets missed about the sunny outdoors of CA is that the sun is on steroids. You will see lots of Asian people in LA using umbrellas at all times of the year in the sun. The sun is very intense in CA and for people like me, I could never really enjoy the outdoors that much because it was so painful to have the sun hitting my skin. It is a beautiful state, but the midwest sun is a lot easier for me to tolerate.

I won't get started on the bad schools, forced vaccinations, and all the woke nonsense that is pushing people out of the state.

Yep. You nailed it, @Jdub I'm from the midwest. That's why I live in California.

Been here over 40 years, and I'll let the Cali bashers in on something, a lot of folks leave Cali and then move back here. We hear plenty of horror stories about life "back east". People in glass houses...

Greetings from California!

Beautiful pics, Tahoe? Shasta? yeah.. just another California shithole? Lol.. .. I used to travel to the midwest pretty regularly for work for many years and I met some nice folks and went to some pretty cool places.. There are little gems everywhere, but for me, no ocean = no thanks I was born and raised in California but moved to the Oregon Coast 35 years ago to get away from crowds, other surfers and rat race lifestyle in general. It used to be inexpensive and uncrowded here; yet still at the ocean. These days it is crowded here and cost of living has gone way up. Sometimes I have to go to California to escape the madness here in Seaside.

Big Bear. Yep, just another California shithole. LOL I live a few miles away on the same mountain range.

Beautiful photos. For what it's worth, a lot of people move away and come back here too, in Ohio. I had three bandmates move to Florida a few years ago. They were all back here within two years.

There's something to be said for living somewhere that doesn't have hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires or much flooding. I'm not bashing Cali - I'd much rather spend a week there than Cleveland - but the Midwest is a lot better than people think.
For the record, I, was half kidding and am not genuinely bashing the midwest.. certainly not in its entirety, Everywhere has its redeeming qualities and it's flaws. I like parts of Wisconsin. I traveled to Sheboygan annually for a business event for many many years. But there is so much misguided Cali hate. And some valid Cali hate. Ironically Much of the venomous hate comes from those with travel experience that don't extend beyond a once in lifetime trip to Walleyworld and who's idea of culture is Panda Express and Chipotle. They deserve a reality check.

It's not the state or the people that are a shithole, it's your politicians.

I beg to differ on that a bit, but I generally agree. Cali used to be the state where people were the counterculture and pushed back against the bad ideas from the government. These days, they are the biggest supporters of big government. Even if you live in Big Bear or outside of LA, you're still controlled by the state. Your child must take a vaccine that was originally designed for promiscuous people in the homosexual communities.

I get you, but i am sure the political gangsters make sure they win elections.

Not my politicians... but I know what you mean. I was born and raised in LA/San Diego. Left in 1991. Unfortunately, the bad aspects of California are spreading here. There is and always has been anti- California sentiment in Oregon.

A lot of us still do push back on bad ideas. That's why we Dems are in charge of the State government and the christocrats are not.

A lot of Californians worship the Orange calf, so lumping us all together isn't accurate.

Gee, how will we ever endure out here?

Ohfergodsake...

JohnnyGtar, dems or republicans, both are awful, generally speaking. Both sides just care about getting re-elected, generally speaking. I was more referencing how California used to be very health conscious and would push back against big corps that were doing harm. Cali used to be great at this many decades ago. These days, Pfizer has got the state by the balls. Your child must take a Hep B vaccine, which your child is at almost no risk of getting, unless you get blood on you from a hospital. Hep B is serious, but no child in school is at risk for this. Pfizer bribed government employees to put it on the required list, because homosexuals were refusing it (no money was being made). There's no way around it, as California banned religious exemptions in 2015. This was one of many reasons I left Los Angeles in June of this year, after over a decade of living there. I didn't want my kids injected with highly dangerous shots that were unnecessary.

Did you read what the owner of In n' Out said this week? She basically said it was a bad place for families. Cali works better if you're single or without kids, but it's become an awful place to raise kids. I don't think the state can be saved until it hits rock bottom like Detroit did.

My wife is finally convinced to move out of California. Not worth it anymore especially with Newsome running shit. I've been fortunate enough to tour 45 of the 50 states here and there are PLENTY of other beautiful places to live other than this rat-race shithole of a kill every opportunity to thrive here state. Its beyond overcrowded here and they are doing a phenomenal job of pushing people out of here to thin the herd.

Both sides want to get elected, yes, but both sides are far from the same in many important requests.

The "California is awful" crap doesn't work on me.

Them darn homosexuals have Constitutional rights and they're taxpayers, too.

Vaccines are GOOD. I'm GLAD my family is vaccinated. None of us died.

Peace!

1. I used to believe democrats were "better" or different. I wish it weren't true, but both sides are two sides of the same coin.
2. It's not all awful, but it is getting worse every passing month.
3. I have no problem with homosexuals, I just don't want my kids forced to take shots that were designed for adult homosexuals.
4. It depends -- some vaccines are good, some are not. And some "vaccines" are not even real vaccines (covid shots for example).

I have never seen Republicans pay the homeless for their votes or coerce people in retirement homes or let migrants in for votes.

Republicans suck too, bet the dems are just cheating scumbags.
