Super strat style.. I originally was just going to get a HSS US model, but that radius really never worked for me.

My hands work better with a 12-16 radius.. charvel etc..

I have owned expensive custom guitars, since sold em all... Now down to a korean LP, prs se 245 and my warmoth strat.

Seriously considering a pro mod or another warmoth build.. going back to a floyd this time.

You guys have a recomondation along those lines for a grand or just under ?

I'd probably get an old Japanese Les Paul copy. But for Super Strat I'd build (assemble) one.

May get a bit close to the 1k mark, just priced one on warmoth.

BUT.. the overall quality is there so..

How are the new Kramers ?
Dang I just like the one pickup look !!
Hockey headstock !!!

Was considering the reissue Baretta vintage. I just priced out the body on warmoth.. Basically identical to the Adrian Smith Jackson.

HSS Strat, original floyd, one volume, one tone, alder body, 11 hole pickgaurd, pearly gates and two quarter pounder single coils.

Alpine white with black pickgaurd..

$877.00

So with a strat headstock, 12-16, 25.5 maple neck/fingerboard, I am definitly over 1k.

I play classic rock/metal.

I have a new Dave Murray strat with a floyd on it. It is outstanding!

I've heard the same from 3 other people regarding the DM strat. I forgot to mention that one also.

They sure sound good from the YT demos.

Dick I posted this before but it didn t post for some reason but I was saying I got a prs S2 mira for a grand out the door at sweetwater and they also have standard 22 and 24s, otherwise I dig the charvels for the coin, great looking and playing superstrats and they come with good pups...

I was just about to post the same thing when I saw your post....for $1k, I'd get a brand new, marked down PRS S2 model. You can find them marked down to under a grand quite often. I'm a big fan of the PRS S2 models ever since I got a lightly used S2 24 for $700 in the classifieds. I know the core series are nicer, but the S2's suit me just fine. I continue to keep my eyes open for a lightly used S2 Mira at the right price.....wouldn't mind a S2 singlecut either.

Well if I do find one it'd probably be more than $1000, but I'm desperately looking for a Charvel style 2 like this

The telecaster is my favorite guitar, but I have no need for the neck pickup and i absolutely need a tremolo system!

I got one of these on order. Sick of the same old shapes

Pro Mods in the 8 range seem to be hard to beat
This all day and twice on Sunday. US or recent MIJ....I would say an older Hamer US but they are hard to find. A clean USA Pro Mod can be had easily for a grand. I sound like a broken record but...GC.com.

Superstrat with a compound radius and Floyd... Charvel seems like the way to go, particularly if resale value is any concern (you'd lose your shirt selling a Warmoth build).

When the USA production series first came out a few years back, I got one. Like a moron, I sold that too...

I'll check out the prs you mentioned...

Here is one of the only videos I took of my San dimas production back in 09.
I really liked that guitar. I've learned my lesson on selling guitars.
