If you were gonna replace a JB in a superstrat?

A WCR Icebucker would do that very well imo. It's not as harmonically rich as some of the hotter pickups out there, but it's still got it. It's very tight, punchy, open, and clear with a nice chimey top end. It rolls off good too because it's not that hot. It's got a pretty balanced eq curve, though, I'd say it is definitely brighter than it is dark. The matching neck is ok, but nothing to write home about. It's clear and focused, but just not very exciting tonally if that makes sense.
I would second the Icebucker! Great pickups with tons of harmonic content imo. It's a lot lower output than a JB, so getting pinch harmonics will be harder, but nothing you can't overcome with an 808, 4.23 or other pedal.

Yeah, what the OP said he wanted in a pickup is exactly how I would describe the Icebucker. It definitely brings something unique to the table imo. For some reason it flies under the radar, but that is probably due to the price of the bridge pickup. You are right, depending on the amp you may want a boost. I ran one in one of my main gigging axes and when I gigged the Marshalls I would boost them, but when I gigged the Uber I didn't. Deadly combo either way

Suhr Doug Aldrich

Yep.
Another vote for the Aldrich. I am currently using one in my HSS strat and love it! Switched from a JB which was also very good. Not the same specs as the OP's but the Aldrich sounds awesome in my strat!

What about a Duncan Custom SH-5 ?

I have never tried one, but really interested in trying one. Seems kind of like a JB/Distortion, but less hot, so more clarity, and less gritty.

Don't get a Tone Zone. I like to be the only guy with who uses them. Love the TZ! I think the new EVH Wolfgang pickup is a slightly lower output TZ. Same growl. Less compression so the Wolf is more responsive to your playing. At least that's how I hear it in my EVH USA Wolfgang Stealth. I'll be torn between the two pickups if I ever build another guitar.

EMG 81? I assume you're not into actives and/or want to keep the neck pup passive and not run into too much trouble combining actives and passives?

Why do you not like the JB?

SUHR SSH+ in my Charvel San Dimas kicks ass!! very rock and not super high gain, very dynamic and balanced!

Mahogany body, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard supersstrat.

Has a JB and a 59 in the neck.

Bridge JB is ok, but doesn't really do it for me.

Something really tight, punchy with a lot of harmonics.
But rolls off really well?
What do you pick?

Guitar has an original Floyd, top mounted.

Reza - Tim @ BKP will give you a good suggestion, but I've asked him several times for certain mahogany body/mahogany neck guitars - probably a Nailbomb (Alnico or Ceramic...ceramic most likely if you want it super tight). But if you want lower output the Abraxas is a killer higher output PAF pickup. I assume this is for your kickass Jackson custom

Also the Aftermath is killer but I think Alder is the wood for those.

Aldrich is too bottom heavy and not tight enough for Diezel amps. I had one in a Suhr modern and hated it. I have not had a high output passive (Alnico) pickup that I liked into Diezels. Ceramic magnets seem to work. I don't think you can go wrong with the C-Bomb

Tom Anderson H2 or H2+

+1 That is what replaced the JB in my Strat an Anderson H2+. I liked the H2+ so much that I put an H1- and H2+ in my fender HH contemporary tele.

I replaced the H3 in my Drop Top to an H2+ and love it. Seems like it has just the right amount of everything. My Drop Top is a mahogany body with maple top and maple neck. Very balanced across the spectrum.

Alot of love here for the H2+...with my "buy" offer, how can you not try it?

If it is a thick chunk of mahogany then try a gibson Dirty fingers, they sound great in that type of guitar.
