I'm far from a pro, but I think I got this right? Or close..

Been trying to get this dialed in for a while. Little tweaks here and there. I've spent probably $100 over the past couple months trying to find a solid IR pack to get this right. Finally this week I gave Joey Sturgis Tones a try. Man that was the ticket or at least I feel it was anyway. I tried Rosen Digital, Own Hammer and even went to the Celestion website and got a V30 and K100 IR pack to try and get this done.

Right now, the mic'd side is just my Orange PPC412 loaded with V30s and K100s in an X with a single SM57 on a V30 and the sim side using the JST IR's is a V30 2x12 and 4x12 blended. I think I am pretty close and on the right path finally. Adding a 421 mic here in the next few weeks to go on one of my K100s and going to use the technique I learned of from Glenn Fricker on his YouTube channel with the Behringer Mixer I picked up recently.

I'm still pretty novice at this but trying to learn some new techniques and hone this in. Yes, I know I need to remove some low end from both sides also lol

Oh and, excuse my sloppy playing. I just riffed out something from one of my old bands a couple times super quick (and sloppy) to just have a pair of comparison tracks.

Curious of any opinions and what I can do to get this better??

Sounds good to me. My only suggestion would be to get SD3 and a bass guitar to see what its like in a mix.

Really? Interesting... I have an e609 and a couple of SM57s. Maybe I will just hold off for now and play around with those more.

My brother is in a studio right now in NY recording drums for his band, and while he is at it he is tracking some drums for me for a couple of our old songs when we were in the same band as well as some cover songs he and I had talked about messing with. Once I have those in my possession I will definitely play around with that. I am trying to find a decent deal on a SansAmp pedal to DI bass. I have tried with some of the free bass amp plugins and had no luck with anything decent. They always sound like garbage.

I got the smaller boxed Sansamp. While it sounds good and I will keep it I was not blown away like I was previously when my bass player friend brought his different Sansamp pedal.

Using real drum samples and replacing SD3 midi patters with real drums is something I am looking into trying out.

I picked up an e906 a few years back and have had good luck with it. It's got a bass roll-off switch, so I've found it slightly more versatile than the e609. I've got a 421, too, and while I do like it, I like the e906 more.
