Individual cables or snake for pedal board run?

I think I am going to reconfigure my pedal board for now to hold me over until I can spring for the AxeFx Ultra. I have all the pedals I think I need and a really nice Core pedal board I got from Zepman's Music (thanks John!!).

Only thing left is cables from the board to the amp. I have a few pedals for the loop and a few pedals for the front of the amp. I was wondering if I should just get some 25' cables for the run back to the amp, or would a cable snake be a better option?

I am interested in this too. I just saw one for sale that a guy was using for the 4CM. I might make myself one. My board is a mess right now.

Just something to consider: If you go w/ 4 cables-- you can always use zip ties to make them into a bundle.

Thats what I did when I was running my wires to effects loop, I since stopped using an effects loop but I did that for the past... 2-3 years or so, a few notes, since I ran my power cable and 2 efx loop cables in one loop, if anything goes bad zip ties are kind of a pain in the ass because you have to clip them all and re apply new ones, I had that happen when a monster cable shattered after a drunken night carrying my pedal board inside and dropped it... Anyway, I went with electrical tape the last time just every few feet putting some around, I can tell you thats a much worse idea it leaves goop everywhere, it falls off and just sucks in general.

Maybe try some of that black tubing they use to couple computer cables etc?

Ehhh... in an emergency, you don't have to cut anything-- you just replace a cable and deal with the fix, of the cable ties-- later. (Granted not my idea of fun-- but not exactly major PIA surgery either).

I did the zip tie thing: (Granted, not the typical pedal board, or wiring)

I'm using a ferman board and have a cable between the amp and board then between the board and the loop so 3 cables total and just wrapped all three together with electrical tape and haven't had any problems.

I did the cable bundle too. WOrks great.

Not quite as slick as some pro-jobs, but it gets the job done, and the color-coding makes it easier to see what cable is going where in the dark.
