Rocktron Midi Mate (I may upgrade to something with expression pedals soon)

You can always try the Rocktron All Access...or the All Access LTD (comes with expression pedal). I was under the impression that Fractal was designing a board that works very intuitively with the AF. If that's the case, I'd just wait for that and pick up a Rocktron Hex, etc....to use in the meantime into your Midi Mate.

I had forgotten about the Fractal pedal. I may just wait for that.

I don't use Wah much any way...it is really more of a toy for me. Though I would like to have a volume pedal

Pick up a Hex and program a CC for the Midi Mate expression jack for volume. They're pretty cheap on Ebay. I think I sold mine for about $35 a year ago.

Warning, RAMBLE!

I used to do sales/install/system-building in a pro-audio shop. I was surrounded by techs, and soundguys and production guys all day for over 3 years. I also saw which products, and mfrs had the most breakdowns and failures, and saw how the companies handled them.

I heard so many Carvin horror-stories, that it definitely prejudiced me. It may be unfounded, and they may make amps out of pure gold and stripper-nipples....but I just can't bring myself to buy a Carvin amp. I wish you guys the best with yours. I have NO experience with Carvin products...the shop I was at, would send you right back out the door if you walked in with one for sale, or repair, or trade. No other mfr got that treatment. But that was probably in no small part, that Carvin sells direct, and the shop couldn't make any money in trafficking their gear.

Anyway...if I were to buy a SS poweramp, I would definately do QSC PLX, or PowerLight. And BIG watts.

Good to know.

My only experience with Carvin is their DCM600 power amp and I have had no issues whatsoever and it sounds GREAT with the Axe Fx.

Everything else they make may be dogshit....couldn't prove it either way by my experience
