I saw this awhile ago.

I watched a video that looked at trends for the last 20 years, as education has focused on girls at the expense of boys; it tracked the dropout rates, suspension rates, crime rates, college acceptance rates, suicide rates etc., and juxtaposed them...indicating how boys are falling behind girls in education, college graduates, high paying jobs, killing themselves, dropping out of society, etc.

They mentioned that college educated women are starting to notice the lack of available men too.

Also in many women's discussions they acknowledge a "shortage of eligible men" for marriage; as women have better paying corporate and professional jobs, there are fewer men at the same or higher economic levels, so there are fewer "qualified" men to go around, and more women looking for them. These women also don't consider men without college degrees or not working in their degree field as acceptable long term relationship prospects.

So women/girls are doing better economically, often at the expense of men/boys who check out or aren't seen as an option by women, creating a shortage of men that these college educated women accept as marriageable.

Well-educated well paid women, I suspect they want only the best; interesting men who out-earn them or Hollywood good looks....both in short supply.
