Is anyone using a Mojotone "Twin Canyon" 2x12" cab?

Looks really nice, never tried one. I have a mojotone cab for a Twin and a mojotone baffle in my other Twin and they are good quality aside from the POS repro handle on the cab that cracked apart in short order. Meanwhile the handle on my 69 is soft and supple as though it just rolled off the factory floor. Other than the handle I've had really good experiences with that company all around.

I love the my Grand Canyon 1x12’s

I haven't tried the 2x12 but ive used the 4x12 as backline before and it seemed really nice.

I have read opinions online of people saying the Grand Canyon 412 despite being oversized and ported, that it really didn't have much bass. That has made me leary about ordering one, but I haven't tried one myself.

Well that could be a problem. I asked Mojotone about their 1936 version 2x12 and the Twin Canyon 2x12. I want the one with the most thick low end. Not tight, but thick. They recommended the twin Canyon.

Urgh. lol

I once had a Silver Jubilee 2x12" with the Marshall "Vintage" labelled speakers and it was one of the best sounding 2x12" cabs I've owned. I should probably just stick with that. LOL

I actually just ordered their 1936. I know I liked it before and am not really looking to experiment with a new cab. :)

Let us know the goods when you get it. I've almost hit buy a few times on the 2x12 Twin Canyon as well and backed off because of the lack of bass comment I've read somewhere. I have a Bogner OS 2x12 so I should just chill. I cannot stand the cane grill on mine though and I'm too lazy to change it lol so I'm always looking.

Ha ha. I too have owned the Bogner OS 2x12" can really no longer dig that look. I think I like plain 'ole black with no logos or anything the most.

I'll report back when I get the 1936 and use it a bit.

I got it directly from them on Reverb unloaded. It was $552 including tax and free shipping. Doesn't seem ridiculous given prices on a bunch of other things today.

With Speakers, all in for about a Grand..

Yeah I guess that’s right in line with other cabs and not a “steal”, but fair.
But you get what you want.
I'd entertain a Mesa 212 Vert, but I can't get it with Fane F70s.. So no go..
Not spending that money and then another $350-$400 for the speakers I want..

The old Jet City Cabs were a steal when you could get them. I got one of those and dumped the Eminence.. THAT was worth it..

Yep, the grill just bugs the crap out of me. And I'd prefer it did not have the valance with the name on it. Great sounding cab though, I have a V30 and G12H Anni in there, match up well.

I was in process of buying a custom cab from Peter Mathers but he passed and then Stone Age went out of business, oh well. Still haven't ruled out a Splawn 2x12 though, might give that a go one day.
