so out of the hundreds of thousands sold you se 15 for sale on fractals site and think its a lot...hmmm

Just thought of something. Why judge phases by what's for sale in the gear forums? And why bother getting caught up in what's "in" and what's "out".

Some seem to be base their purchase decisions on what's popular on a forum at any given time (not singling out Ventura).

Seems there's a trend here. I'm noticing when someone says something, many men get into attack mode perhaps leading the OP into a defensive position. Not sure if trend or simply perception...

Oh COME ON people... It was an observation of mine. And perhaps I'm the one late to the party, but I've noticed when one thing goes it often creates a chain reaction. Just like a few months ago, I looked at our classifieds and was in awe of how many BE100s there were in there being re-sold. I thought "wow". Now? Not so many at all. When I listed my Axe, I wanted to check around to get a price, and thought the pickins were pretty slim, compared to now, that's not the case at all.

I was merely indicating what I found to be an interesting "trend". And that leads me to my whole interest in collective psychology and all this weirdo behavioural stuff and proves noteworthy when looking at things from a bigger perspective.

That is all

This thread is just dumb. Ventura sells his Axe II & suddenly he claims "lots are for sale".
Misery loves company seems to be the case here....lol

eBay currently has 7 for sale & they are all at least a few hundred above retail price. There is currently 1 auction at $1800 with 12 bidders and two days left. This will obviously sell for close to retail price of $2199.

The Axe II is ridiculously popular & holds its valu better than anything out there.

The price tag is what freaks some folks out & so they buy it & freak out & flip it. Nothing new.

I see no big Axe sell off going on anywhere. If this was the case the prices would reflect it. Please point me to some Axe-II bargain prices.....

Time for that extended vacation Mo??? :poke:

My comment was a general one, didn't intend to single you out.

And you're right there are some interesting group behavioral patterns on gear forums for sure.

People get excited about new gear and buy it

Then they sell it when
a) They realize it's not Jesus-in-a-box
b) They need money to buy the new hot piece of gear

I think you need to reread his last post. Axe fans will think it is popular while others will not. Who cares, he was just stating an observation, not trying to give the Axe boys another reason to get their panties in a wad.

With 6 high end tube amps, an Axe-II and a Kemper, I'm a gear fan.

With only 2 currently for sale on the Fractal Forum, a few recently sold on TGP & a handful of crazy overpriced ones on eBay, I see no reason for a thread about "lots for sale"

Dude, it's an AxeFX. Any observation or opinion not positive is the equivalent of punching an AxeFX owner's wife in the face....or even worse....their AxeFX's face!

I don't know how many are for sale, but I ended up selling mine, as I am not really the super deep editing type, I bought a Quickrod and cab rig, and the Zoom G3 does all I need in terms of a modeling setup.

Same here. I haven't touched a knob on my JTM45, with the exception of the volume, for over 5 or 6 years. :D

I think some folks can't deal with a box that isn't static. Not saying that's Ventura but with this thing continuing to evolve some find it frustrating when they've edited their patches just to have to do it all over again.
For me, deep editing is fine and all if you dig that and you like learning the box ect., but I found keeping it real simple avoids a lot of that frustration. My editing consists of just resetting the amp block, Picking a cabinet or cabinets to work with it, adding boost or gain in the amp block if needed and adjusting the presence and depth. That's it amp wise. Cliff has made these amps pretty accurate so far and with the new High Res cabinets coming it's only going to get better.
Maybe some guys will come back to the II when Cliff's onto the III and the II's firmware is not moving.

I'm a new user who just picked up a II from Fractal a few weeks ago. Having a lot of fun learning it. Great tool. But not getting rid of my main gigging amp rig.

Regardless of how many are currently on sale, does a sudden increase in 2nd hand AxeFX units online show signs of a new product from Fractal?

If it is an indicator of something coming, here's hoping it's that lower cost floor unit that's been long alluded to.

With both axe & fx if you please.
