Is the Helix Stomp a good headphone solution?

I'm looking at some good headphone options that of course could double as a multifx unit with the amp. Trying to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Looking at the Stomp and Stomp XL, unless someone's got better ideas.

If it's relevant, i know some of these units are headphone sensitive, I have a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M50x's. I'll be using the modeling/IRs with the headphones, effects only with the amp.

I’ve had no issues with mine. Also might wanna check out Headrush MX5 (unless you want a PC interface) and TONEX. Their latest update (that I’m aware of) really improved that unit. Of all three, the TONEX sounds and feels best into a PA, as well. They did add some MultiFX, too.

I watch YT’ers get tones out of the Stomp which I haven’t come upon, yet; however, their community and support seem top notch. While having more switches (an add-on option) is useful, I like the size of the standard Stomp, too.

I had one briefly a few years ago and was using it for just that situation being in an apartment. ATH-M50x's into the stomp. I got some great tones out of it then so I'm sure you'll get some great sounds now with all the updates since then. The biggest issue back then was their own IR system which they've since revamped. It's also not a huge deal if you've got some 3rd party IR's of your own that you love and can load up.

The micro cortex is better in my opinion, but the stomp is cool. Had both at the same time for a while. The capture tech and online library made for better core amp tones.
