That's your interpretation. I'm not hearing the same thing. I'm hearing him swing the lines instead of predictably playing on downbeats like you'll usually find in rock music.

"Everyone" is too broad. What i'm saying is that if it had been a punk rock or metal clip your opinion on the playing would've carried a lot more weight with me. In this instance it's not a style in the realm of your interests or specialty so my concern with your strong opinion of a pretty short clip is pretty minimal.
