Is the world ready for neo neo soul?

Figured I'd check this contentious clip out. The playing is fine. It's meant to be a bit loose.

That said, I was so-put-off by the ol' neo soul, describing it as the smooth-jazz version of fusion, that I'm reluctant to check out neo neo soul. I'm sure I'll be forced to listen to some in one of the many threads featuring it that'll no doubt appear in the near future.

All that said, I must admit that that clip was far-easier to listen to than the "old" neo soul stuff offered-up here. In fact, it was quite-musical IMHO.

We'll see if it's representative or an anomaly I guess. Time will tell...
