The Randall is definitely a good power amp, and it can be run mono.

Mono left and mono right. Same thing as running two cabinets off of a single head.

Mono “Channel Switching” mode allows you to run a single input into ch. 1 then simply route speaker cables from both Ch.1 & Ch. 2 outputs to separate cabinets to assign 6L6’s to one cab and EL34’s to another. Pair the Preamp tone, power tubes and preferred cabinet with each channel then switch back and forth between each cabinet for maximum versatility. “Stereo” mode simply activates both Ch.1 and Ch. 2 outputs at all times for continuous 6L6 and EL34 tone.

load up the same tubes and you would have 100 watt 2 space racked mono left and mono right.

if your input signal is not stereo, i dont believe the input jacks are wired stereo, so you would have a mono amplification anyway.

thats the only 2 space all tubed mono amplifier that i know of. (mono left mono right, not stereo L and R with a stereo L and R independent input)

You can also run 1 speaker cable out to 1 cab and still switch between both channels of the power amp. The amp senses when only 1 speaker cab is plugged in and routes to that output only.

On the Randall the bass is nice and punchy. The reason I bought it was it is the only midi switchable power amp I have found. The bias section is nice. When I ever get the money for the axeFX ultra That is the amp I will be using. Until Then yy Engl preamp sounds much better with the Mesa 2:90

My amp of choice

Minor correction: the Mesa 20/20 does not require a load on both sides, so long as you turn that channel's volume to 0 and presence to 10.
Despite the labeling on the speaker jacks, you can run a 16 ohm cab, too.

While they are surprisingly loud, and sound great, they do lack the grunt of a bigger amp. I think it is very difficult to fit big transformers in a one-space unit.

Correction? Nobody`s been talking about the Mesa 20/20, it`s the Marshall 20/20 that`s discussed further up :D
What you say about the Mesa, is correct
