This is my first guitar, it's a 97 MIA Fender strat (not bad for a first guitar). I'm totally sure this guitar wil never part my way (unless stolen), but I will never sell it, I'm 110% sure. No matter the financial problems I'm in, no matter how bad my GAS for other gear is, it's just not a option.

It still plays GREAT

show me you special axe.

here's a pic of mine:

I used to have a Ibanez RGT42DXFX loaded with emgs and I had sanded down the back of the neck to get rid of the paint. it was my BABY. swore I'd never get rid of it.....went through a dry spell got sick of guitar, started playing bass and traded that mofo for a Ergodyne bass.....fast foward about another 6 months and I've traded the ergodyne for a RG 7 hahaha
I love this RG 7, I'm even inthe middle of modding it currently, but I dunno how long it will stick around. I definitely want to get a better build quality 7, but this RG is pretty fucking steady for now.

anyway I guess to answer the post...nah dawg...

My #1 and I can't see that ever changing.

It's more beat up and worked in looking now...this picture was about two years ago when I first got it.

Guild D25m. It plays like a dream, classic killer acoustic tones, and I bought it right around when my cat died, so it's a bit of a remembrance piece too.

My first electric, a 94 Korean made Fiesta Red Squire Strat. I must have won some sort of guitar lottery, because everyone who plays it asks me if it's really a Squire. It's got the 21 fret neck, vintage style tremelo, single ply pickguard, and a real "vintage" vibe to it since the pickup covers and knobs have yellowed. The pickups are gold - I don't know if someone was overwinding them that day or what, but they are hot and fat, and some of the best single coils I've heard.. and I've owned a couple MIA Strats and other Fenders.

It is a Squire, though. The neck has developed a slight twist toward the bass side in it's old age, and I've pretty much worn out the frets at the 12th and 5th positions. I replaced the jack plate with a better quality item, it has a switchcraft jack and switch now, the neckplate and screws have been replaced and I replaced all the pickguard screws. I'm currently kicking the idea around of putting a new neck on it.. (Anyone know how the old and new Squire necks compare? Or should I go Mighty Mite or even invest in a MIA Fender neck, maybe a Highway One..) I've also thought about removing the poly finish and having it redone in Fiesta Red nitro.

But for sale or trade? Never, no how. Not only because it really isn't worth much, but because I simply haven't found a Strat I like better, bar none.. and I've tried them all because I didn't want to have "just a Squire".

2000 Gibson Explorer, my first guitar and I LOVE IT. In dire need of a cleaning....new strings....and....a setup....and new pickups...and maybe a fretboard restoration....and a new pickguard....and new hardware(minus the tuners)....and new pots/caps...Never selling it. This thing has been thru hell and back with me.

Either of my Les Pauls. If things get really rough and I have to sell equipment, they'll be two of the last things to go.

This has been my number one for the past seven years. I don't see it going anywhere. Besides, my wife would kill me- since she's the one who bought it for me.

All of my Rickenbackers. A Rickenbacker enters, it never leaves.

My Casino as well....and my Steinberger L2 bass, will not be sold.

So, that leaves an Ovation acoustic, BC Rich spider bass and my Ibanez Iceman that I would sell if needed.

Nice man, VERY nice

This is the only guitar that is safe in my collection. Quite frankly the best sounding/playing Les Paul I have ever owned and that includes 2 real Bursts.
