My 1st PRS - '96 custom 22.
Oddly, its my least favorite PRS I own as far as tone and feel. But, for sentimental reasons, I'll never let it go. Hell, I won't even gig it anymore. Don't get me wrong, it sounds great. I just prefer a thicker body and thicker neck than the wide thin that's on it.

Out of the many guitars I've had in ten years, I can't sell this one. Its perfect for me in every way.

This one, it sounds like an opera singer ;)
My GOD! :jerkit: What finish is that? It makes my loins quiver!
    me too, its a nitro-cellulose finish thats so thin there are tiny spots in the flame where you can almost see wood. I swear, there are times playing it with some volume where you can feel it breathing

Wow, I love that top
I always thought the same thing about your modern eagle when I see your avatar. I assume its a modern eagle from the headstock. the top on mine isnt anything special really run of the mill. its just starting to show a bit of fading after almost 18 years

I think the fact that yours came from the Virginia Avenue plant makes it much cooler than just run of the mill, those were more hand-done than the latter stuff. I had a ltd ed. that came from there, it was one of my favs of all time. Brad has it now. I was not fond of the tuners from that era, but I loved that guitar. The top on yours is only gonna get better with time, I wish my ME was that color, I'm not a big fan of blue, but I love that one ;)

Even if you are never selling it, if you are ever selling it, hit me up FIRST. I will throw all my shit at you as a trade. God DAMN! That axe is perfect, the green.....uugh....I'm gonna have a hell of a time trying to find one close to that!

    It actually started out to be faded blue-jean, but its kinda morphed into a color all its own. It does kinda look greenish in that pic. the finish is so thin, it seems to age quickly ( I guess ) When I got it, it was new, but already 4-5 years old. Had been in a dealer's office stash all that time. I wont be getting rid of it, its the most resonant guitar I've ever played. I never really thought that was too big a deal until I played this one, it wasent plugged in the first time I played it, but I could feel it as well as hear it, never had anything like it. I played one of the new ME's 3 weeks ago, they are prettier, but not as resonant. :D My McCartys (which I love) are pretty resonant, if you put your ears near (6") from the headstock, you can hear them resonate, but this one, you can hear just sitting down with it, I guess its the Brazilian RW neck, and the finish being so thin. I caught the dealer in a bind, and got lucky. I had to let go of a ton of stuff to get it, but I have been very happy with it.

My '93 Fender MIM strat. My first Electric guitar. I love that strat, too much sentamental value to let it go. It just feels like home when I play her. Its the sunburst on the left with the hot rails in the bridge.

I've had this one for 30 years now (Original owner). My Great Grandmother bought this for me, and barring needing some organs transplanted, this stays

nah, only like $4950 new :D They don't really lose much value either, but you could pick up a used one a little cheaper.
