I always thought the same thing about your modern eagle when I see your avatar. I assume its a modern eagle from the headstock. the top on mine isnt anything special really run of the mill. its just starting to show a bit of fading after almost 18 yearsJTyson":cf632849 said:

me too, its a nitro-cellulose finish thats so thin there are tiny spots in the flame where you can almost see wood. I swear, there are times playing it with some volume where you can feel it breathing

It actually started out to be faded blue-jean, but its kinda morphed into a color all its own. It does kinda look greenish in that pic. the finish is so thin, it seems to age quickly ( I guess ) When I got it, it was new, but already 4-5 years old. Had been in a dealer's office stash all that time. I wont be getting rid of it, its the most resonant guitar I've ever played. I never really thought that was too big a deal until I played this one, it wasent plugged in the first time I played it, but I could feel it as well as hear it, never had anything like it. I played one of the new ME's 3 weeks ago, they are prettier, but not as resonant.
My McCartys (which I love) are pretty resonant, if you put your ears near (6") from the headstock, you can hear them resonate, but this one, you can hear just sitting down with it, I guess its the Brazilian RW neck, and the finish being so thin. I caught the dealer in a bind, and got lucky. I had to let go of a ton of stuff to get it, but I have been very happy with it.
nah, only like $4950 newSzar":3qvz5wyv said:Soooo.....Faded Blue Jean PRS Modern Eagle /w solid Rosewood neck? Shit....I had better start a savings acct devoted to financing this guitar....its like....6/7 grand...JTyson":3qvz5wyv said:![]()
