Time to change the tubes in my Laney Pro Tube Lead 50 combo and I want to use the same tubes which are Electro Harmonix EL 34EH. Is there any way to tell if they are hard, soft or medium? No markings on the tube other than EL 34.

Are you referring to EH's tonal variations? Maybe see if you can get specs on the tubes and see if each tube offers what you're looking for. I have some EH EL34s, but mine are Mesa branded. Here's a spec sheet from what I think is the current offering from EH...

Was referring to the distortion and breakup characteristics and their plate currents. Not marked on tube and didn't know if maybe they had different colored logos or some other way to determine how they were rated?

Nope. If it's not written on the tubes or the tube boxes, no way to tell unless you have a tube tester.
