I suppose its whatever the end user needs. I like to be able to switch between different modes to feel like I am playing a different amp. I am building a single channel amp and the player likes to roll his volume back and not switch modes. I guess whatever the end user wants. The single channel amps are certainly much easier to build! LOL

Definitely not a lost art, those amps are beautiful!... and... at least you guys don't do this!

exactly. I dont think I have sold two of the same. even the same model, the customers each had different switchable mods.

gotta be flexible. you ever go on hoffmanamps forum? lots of wise ole owls over there willing to share things.

o h my god. doing that to a pedal...why????????
that cameron I think was an aldrich
and what that preamp looking thing there.

It won't ever die, because there is always someone out there who appreciates such things. It's why guitars like Greenfield / Froggy Bottom etc are made, it's why Pagani supercars exist, etc.

there's just something about a PTP amp that I am in love with. It's why I'm getting into the business.

I love the look of hardwired / PTP.....wish I could do work that looks as neat as that.
