"People are retreating into a world of increasing isolation… within such a world the only reality is one’s own mind…when one’s thoughts are reduced to one’s own mind anything can be real… actual facts are entirely irrelevant…"-

I see this everywhere. After the big lie of government, the Media and COVID. The people that I encounter just do not give a shit about anything that is uncomfortable or might generate critical thinking. Corporations and Governments are doing anything they desire with no accountability. No one cares or sees what is happening.

Make your own facts based on your feelings. Shit is going to get real, fast.

if I'm posting on Rig Talk, my clothes are already off....

Next time it's pouring where you are, sit outside to post on RT. Naked.

Be sure to have someone snap a photo and then post it in the Mug Emporium.
Remember the no-porn rule though - blur the nasty bits.

Do that and you'll earn a lot more respect from me than you have now.

Tons more.

Sometimes I wonder how my uncle would have handled the world as it is today. He was big on conspiracy theories going back to the 80's and 90's, we'd go on long drives and he'd point out things like railroads next to warehouses with no obvious commercial value or activity and cite them as FEMA round-up locations where we'd eventually be carted around like the Jews during the Holocaust, was always warning us the ball was about to drop....

My earliest memory of that was about 30 years ago. Over those years I took a huge interest in conspiracy theories until *EVERYTHING* turned into a conspiracy on the sites I'd frequent, then it just got so over the top silly I lost interest. So many times I've heard "It's upon us, be prepared", "Looks like things are aligning for the Grand Plan, if you're not ready for it, sorry for you"....the "Shit is going to get real, real fast" thing has lost all it's merit, like calling someone racist due to lack of agreeing on something, or when someone is ranting and saying "Wake up! Look what's going on around you!"...the "Wake up" BS.

At this point, even in the slightest chance any of it were "going to get real", unless you've got some extremely well built bunker that's a mile underground and so well sealed up that there is absolutely zero trace of human life, if there's a huge superpower that wants us dead, we'll be dead.

I plan to enjoy the decline and collapse as best I can, whatever happens or doesn't happen.

Indifference works best for me;.

Nearly completed my exit strategy.

Remember Y2K? We watched country after country strike midnight with no consequence, yet we still waited with bated breath here in the states

It may be simply related to how old you are and how many of these supposed 'end of times' you've
come through with not even a scratch. It's complete boy who cried wolf now. Another fairy tail.

Closest thing in my life was the 2004 Tsunami that erased a quarter million souls virtually in a day.
But that wasn't predicted by any group/religious organization that I know of.
I don't even remember any of them trying to take credit for it at the time.

our government has some interesting contingency plans. I've seen some odd things in my 22 year career. if the shit hits the fan so be it. nothing I can control. I'm more worried about the magnetic pole shift completing its cycle than anything else. Supposedly happened previously about 6 times. Earth spins at about a 1000 mph....it suddenly stops while everything....oceans and atmosphere continue to travel at that speed. 2 mile high tsunami globally. Winds that make f5 hurricanes and tornadoes look like a fart. Not to mention imagine sitting where you are and your suddenly launched at 1000 mph in whatever direction the earth was spinning...along with everything else.....SPLAT!!!! Then the axis changes. Half the planet is in the dark and super cold, the other half super heated in the light.....all this is supposed to last for 6 days they estimate. Sorry for the left field rambling post, but I do think it's pretty fascinating stuff......
