Well I got back my '81 Marshall JMP 2203 that I sent to Brian to mod. We spoke over the phone before I sent it and I discribed the tone I was looking for. He told me, no problem. I listened to his clips and liked what I heard so I figured what the hell. I had no idea his mod was gonna sound as good as it did. As soon as I fired it up I was like damn, he did it! He nailed the tone I was after. What I got he dubbed the Shaved Beaver Mod and it fucking rips. This amp will have no problem keeping up with any of the big boys mods. Trust me, I've owned them all. It's 3 gain stages with a 3-way Saturation, Mid Boost, Resonance, and Metro Loop. On the Saturation Switch the middle position being off, up is low clipping, and down is high clipping. It also has an Edge level that allows you to add the perfect amount of bite. I love that feature. It also sounds really good for lower gain stuff. I found other mods don't sound too good when you back the gain down a bit. They seem to thin up. This amp retains all the tone minus the gain. It cleans up really well with the guitars volume. I can't say enough about Brian. He's an honest guy to work with, does very clean work, has a quick turnaround time, and is really reasonable. The clip is with the amp on the low clip setting. I'm using my LP Classic with Aldrich Pups and a Marshall 4x12 bottom with Scumback M75/65's and H75/65's. Check it out and give me your feedback.

Thanks for the kudos...I really had fun working with LP Freak on this and coming up with something that fit his style and objectives. Cool clip too!!

Fuck yes! Congrats man! I can NOT give Brian enough props on his mods, he knows his shit  The amp sounds awesome!!

Brian is the man, you think they sound good at home which they do , go play it at a gig or anywhere it can breath, they are huge

he should have called it the dirty beaver mod :D

It sounds good and bet it's huge in the room. I like that it doesn't sound like it has goatraping levels of gain on it's own. I bet it loves a boost up front to get you there though.

I got a chance to rehearse with my band and use it for the first time and it sits perfect in the mix. I couldn't be happier. Turn the clipping off and lower the gain some and it's great for blues too. It's gonna be on it's way back to Brian soon so he can add a full Fender clean channel to it. Then it'll be the ultimate amp. I'm also working on some studio clips so you can get an idea how the amp really sounds so more to come.

their not just one trick ponies

Here's some spontaneous wanking with the El Capistan.  You can see how well the amp reacts to the guitar's volume. The Saturation was off in this clip.

Thanks man, I'm definately digging it. I love that it still sounds like a Marshall.

The first clip was with the SAT on and this one wasn't.

 Nice playing Paul.....Amp does sound cool...great clip
