Another Update:
Got another Studio Pre today. Had a blown LDR - five minutes fix, got it cheap and sounds amazingly well. James Peters was so nice to send me some mods last year which I will do to the clean channel (needs improvements badly), but the second channel is amazing, so many sounds inside - and I really like the rec out for some fast recordings. Best thing is that I can run the other preamps into the Studio's return and use its rec out for them as well. I guess I've found a new hobby - LOL

Not True at all. Most real boogie guys know that Mesa fucked up when they didn't use purple to begin with. It's a sore subject
