GMW... custom shop and you'll get what you want.

To be honest I dont like there headstocks but I will contact them to see if they can do a jackson style reverse pointy, Do you or anyone else have direct experience with them and a custom order ? I have had bad luck with small builders not sticking to what they say. In general do you guys know of anyone that can build a killer soloist style guitar, not looking for a strat body..I want a soloist body/ neck through / with reverse pointy head stock :)

Yeah Im in contact with Jessica at TMZ now and waiting to hear back from Jackson in response to her email to them, goona see how this goes for now. Basically waiting to see if they can do a certain color I like.

I've worked with Jessica as well. Top notch.

I wasn't thrilled with my interaction with Rose @ TMZ but she's been the exception.

Lee makes awesome guitars and will deliver exactly what you ask for, plus if there's ever any doubts / questions, he'll contact you for confirmation rather than carrying on blindly. But he won't make a Jackson headstock.

I think you might need to take the text " This guitar is 1 of 2 in the entire world, the paint was custom mixed for these twin instruments, and can never be exactly duplicated." to heart. I'm sure they could get it close though, and as you've not seen it in real life, from the pics it's white with a touch of grey, so it shouldn't be that hard to get it so you're happy. They did a few other guitars with the same specs..

Yeah absolutely , seems to be a one time thing with that color but they might be able to duplicate it close enough...I like snow white also but there are so many soloists in that color out there I would rather do something that's my own .....Any other colors you guys like , I'm not getting a maple top so it would have to be a solid color or maybe a burst .....

Anyone know of a reputable custom builder that does soloist style guitars with a headstock like a Jackson ? Just out of curiosity as a second option if things don't pan out

Lee will not, as stated, make a Jackson headstock, but a Soloist neck through with a reverse Mellenium (sp ?) headstock would still be a killer guitar, I'm waiting on a bolt on start from him right now. He 's great to deal with.

Hey, I am on the same boat, also planning on custom ordering a Jackson. Did you end up ordering yours? If so, which dealer did you go with? Thanks!

Im still in the process and what a process it is..... Jackson is VERY slow to answer emails and the dealer plays middle man....Good luck, best thing is to download an order form from the Jackson website. Fill it out and email or fax it to a dealer. If you have any questions or special requests from Jackson it will take a while to get a response.

Waiting on one myself now. The length of time to even get the quote isn't making me feel very good about how long the actual guitar will take haha. I'm prepared for a long wait though. I've owned many Jackson Custom Shops over the years, but never one I've spec'd myself, so I think it will be worth it.

Yes he is. I've ordered a couple guitars from Lee, and he is really good about keeping the lines of communication open throughout the build process, and he absolutely gives you exactly what you specify.

Yeah I have a custom Charvel that is incredible. But I've given up in ordering another. I can't even get a dealer (whom I've bought a $3k+ guitar from) to get me a quote. I assume if I called every day for a month I could get a quote, but that doesn't mean I'll get a guitar out of it.

I don't know what they're doing over there, but it stinks.

I agree its pretty ridiculous ... I know guys on here argue that they only have a couple of qualified builders on hand and that if production speeds up quality will go down . But Jeez Couldnt they at least hire an extra person to respond to emails or maybe even speak to dealers on the phone? Another issue ontop of it all is the mistakes that are made on a regular basis on custom orders , thats nuts. Makes me reconsider even wanting to place an order but I have serious gas pain. Hahahaha :)

^ if they're at capacity and don't want to expand by hiring other builders, I can respect that. But I'd appreciate at least being told that rather than "no we won't do that" followed by silence when I ask what they will do. I just hope to be treated like a reasonable human being and being told "sorry we're so busy that we can't really take more work right now."

I think it depends on the dealer and their relationship to the company, and I guess even more, the individual contact at the dealer. I've gone through Music Zoo for the best part of 15 years and I've never had a nil response from Jackson. There may have been a bit of a wait, but never more than a week on a serious inquiry.

You mentioned that you've dealt with Tim at TMZ, could you tell what his email address is (hoping that it is okay with Tim)?
