Of course. With Badlands he had presence like a mofo.something I have always wondered having never seen him live (no chance Ozzy (back then), Badlands or red dragon would ever come to New Zealand) is ... The stuff he did on the Salt lake City concert video stage presence wise was just amazing (made me pick up guitar) not to mention the playing BUT did he do it when you saw him when it wasn't being filmed??
You'd think with Ray Gillen being such a great singer and all that people would come to the show for him and it would be centered around him in a sense right? No, people were there for Jake.
You know maybe that has something to do with Ray's departure. He was kind of tired of being outshined. Everybody's staring at Jake, backstage they're all hanging around Jake, in the meantime Ray Gillen is outside walking the street with nobody recognizing him. So I don't know, maybe
You know Lemmy used to roadie for Jimi Hendrix and when he saw Jake E Lee he said the dude was better than Hendrix.
I'd imagine so in a sense, the guy was like a fucking computer, he didn't miss a note. Total pro, made it look effortless. All the while doing all those moves.
He was fucking amazing back then
