Jake E Lee fans...

Jake E Lee will be a guest on that metal show this season. He will actually have a full interview unlike last time.

Album is due out in late fall.
 
I like Jake, not a huge fan of his but I liked his stuff with Ozzy and Badlands.

I actually felt bad for him when the video's of him in some Vegas cover bad a couple years back.

He's looking to be in good health or much better health. I get the album when it comes out.

I hated all the solo stuff Jake put out. I think he needs a band to focus his direction otherwise he's blah. And I am one of his biggest fans.

I know he feels he needs to move on but I heard a guy singing on Mike Portnoys band cover tune of Highwire and that singer sounded as close to Ray Gillen style as I have ever heard without completely ripping him off, it was a great cover and nobody overplayed any of the parts it was well done.

His Badlands era was some of the best stuff he has ever done IMO. He should try to revisit that maybe he would be inspired again but sometimes you can't rekindle what was lost and I understand that as well. TOO BAD for us! :cry:
 
He looks great!! Still rockin' Charvel's, I see.... can't wait to hear some new Jake!!! It has been WAAAAAAYYYY too long!!!!! \m/\m/
 
Can't wait! He's for sure appearing on That Metal Show, I'm not sure if it's an interview or if he's the guest guitarist?

He is back with Charvel with a new guitar, it looks nearly identical to his original white one. Lots of different and cool options on this new one though. Not a liberty to discuss all the details, but it's unique! One version has a P-90 in the bridge with 2 DiMarzio singles, and another version has the classic JB with 2 DiMarzio singles.

Glad to see him back around. Was definitely one of the influences on me back in the 80's as a teen. :thumbsup:

I know he has the Gibson with a P-90 that he uses all the time, I don't know if he used that back with Ozzy or not? I'm sure other guys here know a lot more about that than me.

Wasn't Jake's Charvel humbucker an Allan Holdsworth with a double row of screws and not a JB ?

Yes, it was a Holdsworth prototype.

AFAIK, he didn't actually use the SG Jr live, just in the video. I have no idea what he used in the studio though. These days he's been playing P90s a lot.

I did too and he didn't use it when I saw him. He also didn't use it in the live video (Ultimate Ozzy) from that tour. Where did you see him?

can you elaborate on this? Are they designing a new guitar for him?
 
Yup, it's Jake's new prototype Charvel. Not sure if he'll be playing it on the "That Metal Show" taping this weekend. I hope so!
 
He used the new Charvel on "That Metal Show". Very cool! Still a work in progress, but it's almost there.
He did 2 episodes as the guest guitar player, and one interview. It was pretty awesome!
