I am looking for a single channel no frills amp head that can be used NOT mic'd in small club settings...rooms that will fit 70 people max. I think I like either the JCA20H or the BH15H.
I have not been able to play either of these amplifiers since none of the shops in my area have them or both of them to A/B. I have viewed lots of videos online. I do not play heavily distorted. My style ranges from clean to overdriven.
I use a BB Preamp for that boost and work my volume control on the guitar (1965 Strat, Gretsch 6120, PRS SE custom 22 all stock).
If anyone out there has experience with these two amplifiers, could you please tell me which one has the most CLEAN headroom. The price point and weight is the reason why I am considering either of these amplifiers. Ofcourse, the tone from the videos...all things considered, seems decent. Thank you.
