I've always thought Dave's JJ was his best sounding Marshallish amp. Not that the BE100 doesn't sound good, the JJ just has it for my ears anyway.

Back in the 2014 I saw AIC and his tone was excellent with his JJ's.

To be fair, I wish they shut off the wet/dry/wet rig so nothing influenced the final sound. I do like the sound they are getting.

When he was playing, I'm not sure if he was changing or not. Only a couple of times towards the end I could hear a change...sounded pretty much the same.

$1499 is good, but is it a single-channel design like the PT20 & DS mini? One of the greatest things about the JJ is the clean channel. Now all we need is a Butterslax Jr. If that comes out, I'm going to buy all 4.

Goddamn....looks like I'll be able to get my hands on some more gear this year than I have in previous years. I've been wanting an AxeFX for a very long time, but this might jump in front of it. The only drawback is the simplified clean channel. After years of playing amps that mainly catered to hi-gain and lacked a killer clean, I'm really missing an excellent sounding clean channel, so that might be the one thing preventing me from grabbing one.
