Joe Bonamassa takes digital amp on tour; Paul Gilbert switches to digital amp...

Joe was so damn smart to just stick to old white guy blues
They worship him
SRV void was filled for them
But damn he’s boring unless he’s shredding lol fr

I don't think anyone fills the SRV void. I enjoy busier players but there is a point where it kind of becomes meh cause it's blowing notes more than saying something. This is technically impressive, Lance is quite a monster player and used to tour with Lucky Peterson, but it seems kinda off in a way cause he's packing so many notes into some parts that don't really call for it IMO.....

That's a killer guitar, and he's obviously got chops, but that is horrific to listen to

It's unmusical and makes no sense and is jarring with the backing band

Yeah I agree. It makes musical sense, but it is unmusical.....like a guy who did a couple big lines of meth before taking the stage.

Damn right he was

He's richer than any of us will ever be, and all he has to do is wank

Is it technically correct? Yes. It's in key, and in rhythm.

But just like gear can't buy you chops, chops can't buy you taste

At a certain point in there it reminded me of doing technical exercises over backing tracks. It makes sense considering he was Lucky Peterson's bandleader for european tours. If you are familiar with Lucky he could really burn on a guitar or B3, but I have the feeling he would've shot Lance a dirty look for that one because it became pentatonic diarrhea.
