Saw John 5 in concert last night at a small venue in San Francisco. If anyone gets a chance to see him, I would highly recommend it. The guy's instrumental stuff is amazing and he completely nails it live. He plays so effortlessly it's impressive to watch. It's not just metal, he plays some country flavored chicken pickin songs and good clean tones where he hits every note and just burns it up.

The new cd he just came out with is full of good all around guitar tunes too. I knew he was amazing, but I came away thouroughly impressed even more then before seeing him live.

I can't wait until he gets really old and does a good chicken pickin band. He has it all, you know I think the entire thing was he played for Manson and people kind of "pigeonholed" him...but man he is an amazing player, and a true Tele guy. I bet he has some sweet old Broadcasters or Teles by now. He has always been a tele guy.

His Tele collection is completely nuts. And he is a monster guitarist.

Man, wish I knew about this! I would have checked this out for sure!! Where did he play?

Yeah, definitely check him out. His Instagram is great too.

I took my Wife to a small venue to see the Creatures.. At first she was "just going to go for me" She loved his show.
She kept asking to let her know when he comes back
He is most known for Manson and Zombie. He was with David Lee Roth for maybe 5 years before them, then went on Manson for about the same and then went with RZ and is still with him. I'm sure he had allot to do with the songwriting of allot of their hits.
He's a successful national real estate developer as well.

I took my wife to see him last weekend as well, she loved it too. He is so much more of a player than just zombie/manson. He even thanked the ladies in the crowd for putting up with him and their husbands for dragging them to the show. Great show and great guy. Check him out if you can.

I watched a program last week called "A Celebration of the Electric Guitar", pretty cool show that walks through a history of the electric guitar. He was one of the people they interviewed. He said he had at least over 100 guitars and may die poor under a bridge, but he will die with a helluva guitar collection.

Pretty good show if you get the chance to watch it. There was another dude on there with over 2,000 guitars.
