Just about made myself deaf, but boy did it sound good!

All you need now is a Shreddy Mercury Signature Donut Drive and you're set!

Geez, another pedal I gotta add to the list.....you guys are hard on the GAS.
Sorry about that Mike but I doubt you'd regret going down the doubler route especially considering your dual amp rig so I'd say pedal-wise it's one of the better investments to actually beefing up your tone beyond OD and EQ. You'll wind up with that monster tone. I'm looking to finalize my big tone by adding a nice reverb, however that winds up working out. Hope you are well today!!!

As I live in a condo surrounded by picky neighbors I can't do this but been thinking renting a rehearsal studio just to be able to crank loud and feel the air moving in the room.

So which one do you prefer at loud volume? The Recto or the Badlander?

The Badlander just fricken RIPS!! I have the 50 WATT head and it seems every bit as loud as the 100 WATT dual rec, it also just cuts like a mofo. Super easy to dial in and no need to fiddle with settings.

The dual rec is awesome and iconic, but if I needed one amp to grab and gig( at this moment in time )....it would be the Badlander. The dual rec sounds like a blanket over the speakers next to the Badlander: going to try upping the presence and treble.

That's something I didn't want to hear  There is used one 50w Badlander at my fav local music store and I have been holding myself to go try it as I am quite sure I would bring it back... Definitely not the reply I wanted from you 🤣

Had the house to myself for a few minutes, so I fired up the Dual Rec and Badlander half stacks....ABY switch set to both, one pointed at each ear...lol.

Sounded great!!!

My ears are ringing. Stupid, but I like it loud.
One day, they won't stop ringing and you won't be able to hear anything else. Damage to hearing is cumulative, permanent, and then it's gone.
I wear Vibes ear plugs in my left (partially deaf) ear, and turn my right ear away from the amp when playing at home.
I should've gotten a hearing aid years ago.
We'll all be having New Hearing Aid Day NHAD posts in the not so distant future. 😀

You are correct. I have to smarten up.
