Just another reason TGP BLOWS! 5150III/EVH content

So for the past few months Howard Kaplan (head engineer for EVH amps) has been posting in a thread over at TGP about the 5150III 50watt. Answering everyone's questions and concerns about EVH amps. He even was helping diagnose and fix amp problems through the thread and PM's.

I have been going back to the thread often, using many of his posts as references for my amps.

Well, I go to TGP today to look for his post about the tube layout for the 50 watter and find ALL of his posts DELETED! I have no idea why. No explainations. I sent him an email to ask him to start a manufacturer profile here. I'm sure this would never occur on RigTalk. I can't imagine his employer (Fender) would want the posts deleted since he only offered facts, never personal opinion.

Do any RT'ers have any thoughts as to why?

EVH probably found out and had a hissy fit. Either that or he got fed up with some of the stupid stuff: "I have the master on 10, I'm facing the amp 3 feet away and I have this high-pitched squeal, almost sounds like feedback. Does this mean I have a bad tube or my amp is broken??"

My favorite TGP thread was one that went on forever....and...it all started when some wankster was throwing a hissy fit because he was at a jam session and someone stepped on his cable...alot of the reply's were even more douchebaggish if you can imagine that!? So...thats the type of people your dealing with over there for the most part but..There are some kool kids over there..

For all my TGP friends out there. I am still here to answer questions. It had nothing to do with TGP rules. Most of what I posted is of course buried within other message, so the informations is not lost. So if there is something that you have a question about regarding the head, feel free to post and I will answer.

Probably Peterson and his shit-tastic team of biased asshat moderators, all roads lead to their ilk when anything negative happens on TGP. Fuck them, I'm actually glad useful information is gone from their database personally.

It's too bad it wasn't copied/pasted so it could be transferred to a more worthwhile forum though...

They like to neuter posts from certain people and stealth-edit them when you aren't looking to fit their agenda, perhaps they instigated these shenanigans on Howard's content so he pulled a Psychodave and asked for removal of all content.

Or maybe Fender is too big a Corporation to have a presence on TGP and was seen as a potential threat to the small builders who have leeched themselves to the Amp section trolling for business.

Agreed. I often wish we could have organized a TECH SECTION over here for things such as this. Would have been great. Too bad they won't let them run over there though. And, it is because of all the boutique guys (or users) I am guessing, since he said Fender had nothing to do with it.

Brad decided to take a different direction with the moderating and use his IT department for such duties instead of forum members.

Yep. Frets are off limits. Damn, maybe I can get a mod job over there

The only reason I joined over there is there are some folks with fat wallets and high CC limits and you can move some iron sometimes on TGP that won't move here. Their Classifieds gets a butt-load of traffic.
