Couple things, I think the video is cool. It's not totally what I'm into but I think the music actually lends itself to the animation very well, good job! Secondly, while there definitely *are* some great players on the TGP most are absolute hacks, period. Guys that can't play (and in their defense, lots of guys that have made other careers a priority simply haven't put the time in to be able to play competently) but like to buy high-end/obscure stuff as a hobby. Which is fine except when confronted with guys that actually make music. When confronted with that they get pissy they're not getting respect (in their own minds) for the fact that they play their dumble clone in a horrible cover band. That demographic is NOT going away at the TGP so either roll with it or leave them to their own circle jerk IMO.

Your big sig is a huge inconvenience because it reminds them that they don't make music. I don't think a YT player is big enough to be a nuisance, tons of huge pics all linked together? Sure.

Hey Mo, In all fairness, The complaints over there werent due to typically corksniffery and what not, just the size of the sig. Many asked that instead of the YT player posted, perhaps a link in the sig would be better...

that said, I do not see the big deal with scrolling past big sigs.

I just got back from reading the last page, the one where an army of mods try and justify the new law. Well the only thing that made any sense is how they can't afford the bandwidth. The rest was just mods making claims that no one can substantiate, like we got all these PMs. This is an old BS ploy, much like how half the excuses for shit on HC after Scott left was just crap. It's all too easy to pass the buck onto 'all those complaints, when the truth is they just can't afford the bandwidth needed to keep up with the times.

So no YT embeding over on TGP now, just another reason why RT rocks in comparison.

To be sure I'm no IT guy, and never will be. However, that is the excuse they gave, right after they cried about not having any money...Money is a big thing right now for most people, so lack of it seemed to be worthy of an excuse, unlike all the other BS.

I know big pics were a concern for a while on HC before one of their many updates, it was all about bandwidth. Maybe just displaying such a big picture type link was the ploy, not so much playing it after you've linked on.

Maybe Brad does as well, with respect to RT. However, at least Brad has a business case for doing so, given that RT effectively serves as a marketing tool for his shop "King Guitar".

But if that was in your sig and you were posting frequently it would get super old. Plus a good point was made that not everyone has a fast internet connection. Shit, most times on my 4G phone it can still take forever for a YT/PIC heavy thread to populate.

That being said, I think everyone though should put whatever they want in the sig. As long as I can disable sigs, which I do, it doesn't matter. If people want to see them they can, they don't want to, they can do that too.
