my local GC doesn't even carry the strings or picks I use, and they're not something uncommon either, Daddario 11s and jazz iii max grips

I went to one GC and called another, and neither of them had those picks. Had to order a 24 pack online

You're a little too happy for me. Can you darken your mood a bit.

For realz yo.

LOL
I was supposed to have a NGD two days ago but because of the snow, UPS is lagging behind. You hear me barking? Hence the foul mood the past couple days

There's some angry shoppers in here yo. :scared:
MF has a great purpose for me; they offer 15% off all the time which I then take to zzounds for a price match plus= 18.5% off

Oh the agony

Recent weather has caused delivery delays. Recovery efforts are under way to deliver your package as soon as possible. / We’re working to deliver your package as soon as possible.

MF is good as far as taking stuff back and customer service.

The main issue with buying stuff online is that it's in a box, in a warehouse and nobody looks at it. It comes from wherever and if it cracks in 1/2 inside the box, the only person that is going to know about it is you, when you open it.

That said, when I purchase a guitar online, it's usually from Sweetwater. I know their 800 point inspection is complete BS, but they do take the instruments out of the box and take pictures of that exact instrument. I mean it can get damaged on its way to you, but if it comes from MF, chances are it's coming from China, Korea or wherever, to MF then to you and nobody looks at it. Amazon is famous for that. I ordered a cheapo Danolectro $300 POFS and when it arrived it had a different headstock on it.

I usually will not buy an expensive instrument over the net. I'll drive up to 4 states away if need be, if I want it bad enough.

When shopping on EBAY, I demand pictures of the instrument. Not a stock picture from the manufacturers website. No pics, no sale. I also do not deal with the box stores on Ebay. I deal with an actual shop, the same type of B+M I bitched about earlier and call them and have them look over the instrument.

You just now realized this.....?

Im kinda a noob, got back into playing fairly recently and during my first stint there wasn't all the online dealer, plus I didn't realize because they advertise the same prices as GC, but for a goof I called in and they literally took 300 dollars off the instrument I ordered...guess I don't read enuff..lol

My buddy just got a cell phone, 1 week ago. LOL. Sometimes I'm envious of him. No wife, no kids, no phone.

I'm interested in hearing how you pull this one off. I didn't think other places would match coupons.

I just tell them I'm going to kill myself if they don't give me 15% off. They usually give me 20% off.

That's pretty extreme for a discount. :scared:

Next President's Day sale MF will likely have a 15% off sale. Make sure the code for the discount works on the item you want. Call zzounds and they price match plus. I did it twice on the Kemper, which probably shouldn't even be eligible for a discount. I'm trying to do it now on a or100, but zzounds realized it wasn't eligible so that was a FAIL. I'll try again soon
