For your price, you should be able to get into a Charvel, MM Axis, ESP M-II.
Possiboly (and to go with the theme) - take a look at Hamers or BC Rich as well.
Break a leg!

Personally I would avoid Wolfgang/EVH simply b/c those guitars didn't exist at that time. I would go with a Jackson/Charvel whatever suits you or you cant go wrong with an RG but I wouldnt stray from period correct. YMMV.

Congrats! Get the vibe right, go for a Charvel or a Kramer. Another option would be the EVH Striped Series, they're under $1k and look the part.

I agree with many here. The thing about Vegas (I am a local so I'll come see you when you play), is you have to fit in with the show too. The striped EVH, probably the red one, a bright Ibanez RG or the Kramer are perfect. If you are visible then you are part of the show and need to look that part. The MusicMan does not fit your "role" in the show.

Get an older Ibanez JCustom, RG550 or 770. The other would be the Charvel pro mod. These are the best options by far, especially for this gig. Congrats by the way. You know you have to keep the RT family updated if you get the call!
