Just rattle canned a project guitar

I got this Agile Interceptor Pro 727 from Guitar Center used for super cheap and decided to try to make it “custom” I filled the neck pickup and shot it with blue and then black crackle. I got a Gotoh trem and Duncan Black Winter soapbar going in after I finish clear. I had to re sand the whole thing because the first crackle looked horrendous, this one came out pretty rad though. First pic is basically what it looks like except mine has a maple board with offset dots (I didn’t take a before pic )

What makes that "Crackle" ? Does it come out of a can like that ? It's pretty bitchen.

I used Montana crackle over blue engine enamel, I watched a bunch of videos on how to do it and still screwed it up the first try lol. This second one is not perfect but I really like how it came out

Update: one full can of 2k on, only one very small bit of fog (3/4”) that I’m hoping dries out or sands out

Cool! were you able to bury the crackle "feel" with the clear or is the texture part of the deal?
