That sucks!

But look on the bright side, It wasn't a real '59 LP

Shipping damage?

This is the same break as the '59 Peter Green/Gary Moore guitar. You are in good company.

It's repairable. Maybe consider adding a Fathead sustain plate for a little extra reinforcement.

Consider it a bonding experience!

Damn dude, images like this are what antidepressants are for although valium and klonopin work better:(
-mp-

I just saw this on FaceBook on the page called 'Guitar Porn'

So sad...!

Yeah, but it was still a REAL shit ton of dough!

"Only he didn't say fudge"...I'm no expert but it looks repairable. There's a guy on the mylespaul forum that specializes in head stock/neck repairs. Still sucks!!

Jesus, those are so authentic the headstocks break too?

So, who's legs did you break that Karma came a calling? :gethim:

As said, it looks fixable, but dude, that sucks for sure.

Damn that sucks!!! I saw this on FB at the Guitar Porn page.

Oh, man...when I saw the first pic I was thinking "Please be one of his Gibsons" but knew with the band-aid it had to be the Yaron.

My heart sunk. I feel terrible for you.

I sent it off today to Greg Platzer for repair. Guess it will look really authentic with a repaired crack. Greg at BCR is supposed to be about the best in the biz. I am not sure how it will all play out but I am sure they will make good in the end in some way. What is so disappointing is the piss poor respect in packing this beautiful and insanely expensive guitar. It was in a Warwick Rockcase, which is pretty much ballistic fucking cardboard and has just enough slop in the inside with very little form fit to allow the guitar to move around. There is no extra room at the end of the headstock. If that is not bad enough, it was shipped in the single ply box the case was shipped in. Not a double XX heavy guitar box, but a shitty little cardboard box for an empty case. There was no filler, no end area foam or protection. He might as well have stuck the case in a big paper sack and taped it up. This, is what has pissed me off so bad now. Hell, I wouldn't send a $200 chinese knock off to any of you guys packed this way. How he hasn't lost guitars before me, I have no clue. But, one 2-3 foot bounce off a floor on the headstock end of the case and it would probably snap it. Hell, I am surprised the neck wasn't broken. I had Fedex look at it and they just laughed. Claim denied and you know what - I don't really blame them. But, not sure which leg it would have gotten fucked up on in the shipping.

Had I known this, I would have sent a fucking case, box and packing material to ship in. There was one bright spot in an otherwise fucked up day - got my new ESP black Snakebyte delivered in one piece, in a proper ESP case, in a proper box with proper fucking packing.

We'll see what they are made of now. I hope it turns out well and it should. But, even a replacement takes a while. The neck can be removed, but then it would all have to be stripped and refinished. Another one can be made in about the same time.

Oh, in that picture, the only the holding the headstock on is the truss rod cover. It won't tune for shit either!!! Bad day......first time I had this happen. But, I can see how it happened and there's nobody to blame but the one who packed it.

Next time, deal with "The Canadian"..... ;)

We can send Tim Horton's donuts and coffee anywhere in the world and we've never spilled a drop or crushed a single honey dip!

Sorry to see that this happened, Steve. I hope everything works out in the end.

That is unbelievable. I almost feel like you should receive a full refund and be able to keep the guitar. Something drastic needs to done in order to make up for this neglect.

This just makes me sad. I can't help but ask.. who shipped it?
