I know, I have a mighty slouch...

Guitar used in this vid I recently refretted with stainless steel frets. They freaking rock, most of my guitars that are players/keepers are going to get em soon.

 
Sounds better than great. I can't believe the tones out of this thing. Awesome profile, man.

For a modeler yes, but not for an amp.

It isn't a Modeler, it is a PROFILER!!!!

thought i'd beat the kemper fanboys to it.. seems to be a bit of fizz there but the tone is pretty damn good. I'd love to play a kemper and see for myself.
 
Thanks for the kind words fellas. It's a new profile, I started putting together a few from each VH album up to 1984. They all are alike obviously but also a little different - VH I is the fizziest, II is my favorite, etc... Hoping to get time to finish them up this weekend and on my webpage.

It's a modeller/profiler/who cares? :D Call it a swinging nutsack, this weird little box is still the best gear purchase I've made in a long time.

Regarding real amps vs modelling clips - yup, it's a modeller. Meaning I can bring this exact tone back anytime I want, not subject to the varying issues of tube life, amp temperature, humidity, alignment of mics, the moon, planetary influences and whether or not my ears are shredded from cranking a 50 or 100 watt marshall half stack. For me the dynamics are there, the feel is there, the TONE is there, I'll give up the real amp in this scenario with no personal worries, but I can see how this could bug some folks.

...and I still have most of my Marshalls and other tube amps. Nobody says you have to be 100% in one world or the other. :D

Amp builders must be HATING the Kemper! :lol: :LOL: Then again, without those amps, there would be no Kemper... A truly symbiotic relationship.
 
FUUUUUUCK! I need a damn Kemper. That was awesome man. I was contemplating getting a lower wattage Splawn for smaller venues but I think the Kemper is the way to go. I may just have to profile my Quick Rod with the Creamback cab to take "my tone" with me.
 
To me that is pretty identical album tone and I'm pretty critical of VH clips...

Very nice tone & playing dude!

Everyone here was also raving about the VH 'I'm The One' clip that I posted that Adam from Fractal played the other day.

Just goes to show how much the Axe2 & KPA are freaking out the cork sniffers.....over the next few years things will continue to get very interesting indeed....
 
Pete very nice van halen 1984 sound.Any van halen 1(first album)sounds in the Kemper.
